세라믹 커플러를 이용한 고전압회전기 고정자권선의 On-line 및 off-line 부분방전 특성 시험 및 분석

Partial discharge(PD) test can be performed either when the rotating machine is not operating(off-line) or during normal machine operation(on-line). This paper presents an on-line and off-line PD test on a large hydro-generator and induction motor using the same PD acquisition system(PDAS) and ceramic coupler(CC) sensor. PD signal characteristics of CC sensor proved similar with that of epoxy mica coupler(EMC) sensor as a results of PD test for simulated defect winding and frequency response test. A comparison of on-line and off-line PD test for PD characteristic parameters-phase resolved PD(PRPD), maximum PD value(Qmax) and PD occurrence energy(POE)-indicated that on-line PD test could reliably and effectively diagnose insulation conditions which were verified by off-line PD test.

Partial discharge(PD) test for simulated insulation defects of used hydro generator stator winding was conducted to analyze the PD Parameters. Simulated insulation defects are classified by 5 types corona, slot, internal, multi and aging defect. Phase resolved partial discharge, statistical parameter (skewness, kurtosis), PD magnitude as a function of the test voltage(Q-V curve) and PD magnitude change under test voltage for 2 minutes are used as PD parameters. The analysis of PD parameters by 4 types are proved to be useful methods. In particular, PD parameter characteristics of aging defect could help to assess the aging condition of stator winding because aging defect has more weak insulation strength than other insulation defects : PD distribution is wide and flat, PD rises rapidly near $0^{\circ}\;and\;180^{\circ}$ and Q-V curve rises sharply and then gently drops.

수력발전기 고정자권선용 운전중 부분방전 진단시스템은 발전기 운전상태에서 권선의 절연상태를 실시간으로 진단할 수 있어 현재 가장 신뢰성 있는 절연진단 방법으로 알려져 있다. K-water에서는 수력발전기 6대에 대하여 고정자권선의 절연상태를 측정하는 운전중 부분방전진단시스템과 부분방전측정 센서인 세라믹커플러를 설치하여 수년간 부분방전특성에 대한 경향을 분석하고 있다. 이들 발전기 가운데 2대의 발전기에서 측정기간 중 특정상에서 부분방전크기가 증가하는 구간이 있었고 그 구간에 실시한 정지중시험의 부분방전 크기도 운전중시험의 부분방전크기와 경향이 유사하였다. 이들 발전기에 대하여 육안점검과 절연크리닝작업이 수행되었으며 육안점검결과는 특별한 이상이 없었지만, 절연크리닝 후 측정된 on-line PD데이터는 부분방전크기가 감소하였다. 이러한 특성들로 운전중 진단시스템과 세라믹 커플러의 신뢰성을 확인 할 수 있었고, 주기적인 절연 크리닝이 권선절연물의 열화요인 제거와 수명연장을 위해 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Electrical insulation of small hydro generator stator winding is one of the most important parts in generator facilities. Some stator winding insulation problems can be identified through analysis of insulation diagnostic test. So, Diagnosis of stator winding insulation is an important measure of ensuring the safe operation and extending the remaining life of small hydro generator. This paper presents case studies of insulation failure in generator stator windings and the results of insulation diagnostic test for small hydro generator stator windings. Especially, Conducting the insulation diagnostic test before the generator installed in site is very important process to keep the good insulation condition in service.

Our company(KOWACO) has periodically performed off-line diagnostic test for 14 hydro generators (rated 11 kV over) for 15 years. In this paper, we summarized results of dissipation factor tip-up test and partial discharge test about these generators. Among these, we chose two generators and performed insulation reinforcement (cleaning and varnish painting). We compared change of insulation condition for the stator winding based upon off-line diagnostic test result before and after repair. Test result shows that insulation condition was improved after insulation reinforcement. This insulation reinforcement has a function to reduce cause of deterioration, so we can know that it extends lifetime of generator and it is a very important factor for stable operation of facilities.
