        스마트미디어를 활용한 토론수업의 효과분석 -웹기반 수업과의 비교를 중심으로-

        This study is to investigate the effective teaching and learning activities and methods in terms of the comparative analysis of the teaching effects of online debate instruction based on the conventional personal computers and those of online debate instruction based on smart phones. We have reached the following results: First, with regard to the analysis of the difference in learner``s motivation, learning flow, and learning satisfaction between App-based learners and Web-based learners, we discovered that the former showed higher learner``s motivation, learning flow, and learning satisfaction than the latter restricted by space. Second, with regard to the analysis of the difference in learner``s motivation, and learning satisfaction, between synchronous online debate instruction and asynchronous online debate instruction, the former tending toward active interaction displayed higher learner``s motivation, and learning flow than the latter. This is possibly because, compared to face-to-face debate instruction, App-based synchronous online debate instruction gives less burden to the participants, and accordingly results in free communication and interaction, thus creating high learning effect. Indeed, there is some truth in the argument that since learners are reluctant to participate in the discussion itself, superficial online debate instruction is not suitable for acquiring profound knowledge and developing creative thinking. In conclusion, we believe that the activation of App-based online debate instruction will help not only improve learner``s motivation, learning flow, and learning satisfaction but also stretch out the feasibility of a smart phone as a learning medium. Furthermore, we expect that in the current educational paradigm of emphasizing learners`` participation, the employment of such mobile tools as smart phone and tablet PC will be of service to reinforce educational competitiveness as well as to increase the interaction between learners.
