여성의 사회진출에 대한 태도가 여성혐오 의식에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 남자고등학생들의 여성의 사회진출에 대한 태도가 여성혐오 의식에 미치는 영향을 분석했다. 이를 위해 우선, 여성의 사회진출에 대한 남녀고등학생들의 태도를 파악했다. 다음으로, 여성혐오에 대한 남녀고등학생들의 의식을 조사했다. 마지막으로, 남자고등학생들의 여성의 사회진출에 대한 태도가 여성혐오 의식에 미치는 영향을 분석했다. 본 연구는 연구자들이 2016년 9월과 10월에 직접 설문조사한 「청소년 대상 남녀관계 의식조사」자료를 사용했다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 통계프로그램을 이용해 분석했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성의 사회진출에 대한 태도에서 남녀고등학생 사이의 차이가 뚜렷했고, 통계적으로 유의미했다. 남학생이 여학생보다 여성의 사회진출에 대해 더 부정적인 태도를 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 여성혐오 의식도 남녀고등학생 사이에 큰 차이를 보였고, 통계적으로 유의미했다. 남학생의 여성혐오 의식이 여학생보다 강한 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 남자고등학생들의 여성의 사회진출에 대한 태도는 여성혐오 의식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 여성의 사회진출에 대한 부정적 태도는 여성혐오 의식에 부적(-)인 영향을 미쳤고, 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 변인으로 밝혀졌다. 여성의 사회진출에 대한 긍정적 태도는 여성혐오 의식에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 경제영역에서의 남성의 위기가 여성혐오를 불러일으킬 수 있다는 점은 여러 연구자들이 주장했다. 하지만 기존의 연구들은 이론적 논의에 치중했다는 한계점을 가진다. 반면에 본 연구는 이러한 주장을 경험적으로 검증했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그리고 본 연구는 한국사회 남자고등학생들의 여성혐오 의식에 영향을 미치는 주요한 요인을 밝혀냈다는 점에서도 의의가 있다. 미래 사회의 주역인 청소년들에게 여성의 사회진출에 대한 올바른 태도를 교육함으로써 여성혐오 현상을 완화시켜나갈 수 있을 것이라고 생각한다. This study analyzed the influence of Korean male adolescents’ attitude on the social participation of women on their misogyny. Data for this study were collected from a sample survey 「Adolescents’ Awareness of Gender Relations」 conducted for high school students in Gyeongbuk regions by researchers in September and October 2016. Samples were extracted by multi-stage sampling method. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical program. Major findings are as follows. First, in the attitude on the social participation of women, male adolescents were more negative in all items than female adolescents. Second, in the misogyny, male adolescents were stronger in all items than female adolescents. Third, male adolescents’ attitude on the social participation of women had a significant effect on their misogyny. Their negative attitudes about the social participation of women had a negative effect on the misogyny. On the other hand, their positive attitude towards the social participation of women had a positive effect on that. The significance of this paper is as follows. First, this study was statistically proven that there is a crisis in men in the economic area, can cause the misogyny. This overcomes the limitations of existing studies that are devoted to theoretical discussion. Second, this study has identified the major factor, right attitude toward social participation of women, affecting the misogyny in Korean adolescents. This will contribute to reduce the misogyny in Korea.
