조선후기 풍속화에 나타난 치마.저고리에 관한 연구

        심화진(Hwa Jin Shim),윤혜성(Hye Seong Yun) 한국복식학회 2000 服飾 Vol.50 No.2

The major findings of basic women wear in genre painting were ; 1. Due to the influence of Shill-Hak (practical science) philosophy, Jeogori became shorter and a tighter fit came to be the norm. 2,. The shortening of the Jeogori influenced a longer Chima with a wider span providing comfort in movement or at work. The end of the skirt was often held by one hand to the waist adding to comfort. This was called the Go-dul-chima(Lifted Chima). 3. Because the Geo-dul-chima exposed a portion of one underwear at the bottom of the dress this influenced the irnamentation' of underpants and underskits. 4. Collars or lapels came in the form of Dang-ko, Kal, Mok-pan and Ban-Mokpan. Among there Dang-ko style collars were the most common which allows us to conclude that this was the most popular. 5. The most commonly used colors for Jeogori were white (39.8%) and jade(18.3%) . The most commonly used colors for CHima were deep blue(34.4%) and jade(20.4%) . The lower Chima used the darkercolors to give stability to the overall costume. 6. Clothing had the function of differentiating the classes. Only the Yang-ban were allowed to wear the Samhijang Jeogori and the Gob-Chima(double layered Chima) and the knotting of the Chima to the left. But the painting show that these rules were not adhered to in the strictest manner. With the bases of these types of chima and Jeogori can look at the characteristical beauty of the ordinary women during the late Cho-sun dynasty. First is the beauty which comes from mystery of those parts of body which can not be seen. A sense of subtle and sensual beauty as well as that coming from the enlargement of reduction of the upper body, narrow waist and abundant lower body parts creating an ideal silhouette of sexual charm. An expression of emotion through clothing by those who lived during those times.

        큐비즘(Cubism)작품을 응용한 한지 패션디자인 연구

        최은경(Choi Eun-Kyoung),심화진(Shim Hwa-Jin) 한복문화학회 2006 韓服文化 Vol.9 No.2

This study aims to develop practical fashion design of Korean paper, focusing on its soft and unique texture that enables to express creative fashion image, by combining our native, handmade paper, Han-ji, with the cubism works of Picasso(though the genre of these two are different as fashion and arts), who innovated all kinds of 20C's arts with new forms of plastic arts, and inspired a lot of fashion designers as a cubism artist. Here are the conclusions derived from the production of work. First, It is expected that this combination can lead to create economic value in reality. Second, It can be used practically as well with Han-ji's possibility of expression, with its value as arts. Third, the possibility of new kind of material can be indicated, by skinning thread out of wool, and combining it with Han-ji, and from it, soft, durable and unique-textured new material can be expected. Fourth, when making fashion design out of Han-ji, the weak point such as elasticity, tensile strength, and flexibility can be reinforced by cutting Han-ji and knitting them. From this fact, it is considered that knitting is one of suitable ways to put Han-ji fashin design to practical use.

인터넷 판매를 통한 생활한복의 활성화 연구

        소현정(Hyun Jeong Soh),심화진(Hwa Jin Shim) 한국복식학회 2000 服飾 Vol.50 No.4

This study was conducted from Sep., 1999. to Nov., 1999. It researched approximately 60 specialized manufacturers who had homepages on the Internet. Of the 60 manufacturers, 20 of them were chosen for the study all of whom had relatively well made homepages that were geared towards sales. 1. Daily Hanboks on the homepages were put in an electronic catalog. They were photographed and well described, Each picture could be enlarged when needed. 2. The Hanbok`s were made for men, women and children. There were every couple`s Hanboks. The Hanboks used natural material, mixed spinning and chemical textile, which was easily kept and washed. It was intended, as clothes for everyday wear. Silk was used for formal clothes. 3. The prices ranged from low-middle to high clothing for everyday life is reasonable and street wear and formal dresses are priced high. The color of the dresses are not vibrant, but natural and light. As Hanboks become more in demand, there will be more choices available. 4. As matter of the sizes shows weakness. In general they use the western size system. The purpose of this study is to show the direction that Hanbok manufacturers may take for the internet sales and for being more active to promote the spread of the dress. This research came to the following conclusion. Even though Hanbok manufacturers operate homepages, it seems that they are not well used, However, many internet shopping malls have been opened and they have put Daily Hanboks into one of their sales categories. The internet malls are getting more active and are expanding more. Therefore the market value of the Hanboks in the future look optimistic. If smaller sized manufacturers of Daily Hanboks establish cooperative network that have no time and space limit, they can use the strong power of the market as the market development for Daily Hanboks is endless.
