ZrN was deposited on a 304 stainless steel substrate by the reactive sputtering technique, and deposition rate and nitrogen content of deposits were measured as functions of partial pressures of N₂and Ar gases, the input power and the substrate bias voltage, respectively. X-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscope were used to analyse the preferred orientation and morphology of the deposits. Deposition rate decreased rapidly with increasing the N₂pressure and decreasing the input power, while it decreased slowly with increasing the Ar pressure and decreasing the bias voltage. The N/Zr ratio of the deposts was in the range of 1.6-1.77 for the most deposition conditions. ZrN coatings deposited without any bias voltage showed columnar structure with a strong(111) preferred orientation, and the crystallites were fine and the surface was smooth. Those deposited with bias voltage showed a mixed texture of(111)-(311), where the columnar structure was more or less suppressed.

Photoluminescent p-type porous silicon (PS), which showed a strong photoluminescence (PL) peak centered at about 720 nm, was annealed in vacuum. After the PS was annealed at about 550 C, the PL completely quenched, and it was found that the average skeleton size of the PS layer became 50 100 nm, which was 5 10 times larger than that of PS before annealing. The Si 2p core level photoemission spectrum showed that the amount of oxide increased with annealing temperature. The increase in the average skeleton size, rather than a change in the oxide states, seemed to be the main cause of the observed irrecoverable PL degradation. This study was performed to investigate the effects of Aloe vera administration(500mg/kg. B.W., s.i.d., P.O.) on hematology, blood chemical values and histopathological changes of spleen in cobalt-60 gamma Irradiated mice. 1. Total leucocyte counts of aloe administered groups were less decreased and more rapidly returned to normal level than those of control group. 2. Lymphocyte counts were rapidly decreased on the 1st day after irradiation in all experimental groups, but the counts were less decreased in aloe administered groups than those of control group. 3. Erythrocyte counts, hemoglobin values and hematocrit values of aloe administered groups were maintained within normal level, but these values showed lower values on the 14th day after irradiation in control group then returned to normal level on the 21th day after irradiation. 4. There were no differences between aloe administered groups and control group In LDH, SGOT and glucose values. 5. Histopathological changes of spleen in aloe administered groups showed less lymphocytic necrosis and depletion than those of control group.

배관 내에 압축공기를 주기적으로 분사하여 맥동현상이 일어나도록 하면서 기포를 발생시켜 기포가 관의 내벽에서 성장하여 파괴될 때 관내에 부착된 이물질을 제거할 수 있고, 또한 세척효과를 높이기 위하여 관의 벽면에 접촉하면서 배출되는 과정에서 이물질을 제거할 수 있는 장치를 이용한 세척방법의 적용성에 대해서 고찰하고자 한다.

그동안 방사광시설을 중심으로 다양한 X-선 기반 분석기법들이 개발되어 경쟁력있게 발전해 왔다. 특히 시료 위치에서의 X-선 세기의 획기적인 증가로, X-ray scattering, spectroscopy, imaging, microscopy, spectro-microscopy 등 다양한 기법으로 분리 발전되 왔으며, 각 기법은 결정구조, 국부적인 원자구조, 분자구조, 산화가, 화학적상태, 전자구조, 시편내외 미세형상, 등의 정보 제공에 활용되 오고 있다. 최근에는 다양한 환경과 in-situ 상태에서도 연구할 수 있는 기술 개발로, 신소재 개발, 소재 특성 발현 이해, 소자의 내부 결함, 구동에 따라 망가지는 원인 규명 등에 필요한 유용한 정보를 제공해 줌으로써 산업적인 측면에서의 활용도 활발하다. 한편, 3세대 원형방사광가속기 대비 시료에 한 단계 높은 수준의 세기로 X-선을 제공해 줄 수 있는 4세대 원형방사광가속기 건설이 추진되면, 방사광을 활용한 물성분석에서의 응용 분야 다양화와 한층 높아진 분석 경쟁력이 기대된다. 본 발표에서는 방사광 X-선 분석기법과 응용에 대해 소개하고자 한다.
