        여수세계박람회장 사후시설 인식도 조사 및 비시장가치 분석

        The purpose of this study is to look through the progress of Yeosu Exposition ex-post facto service, to survey the cognition degree of the general public for it, and to estimate the nonmarket value. For such a reason, this paper examines the planning direction and enforcement situation of ex-post facto service first and then conducts a cognition degree survey of the 900 general public in the nation. Also, this paper carries out the nonmarket value of Yeosu EXPO ex-post facto service using CVM. Estimation results is that the annual value of it is 50.8 billion won and the total value for 5 years is 217.1 billion won. These results mean that there is nonmarket high value besides general market value for Yeosu EXPO ex-post facto service, and government should consider this to determine the future of it. 본 연구는 2012년 여수세계박람회장의 사후활용에 대한 현재의 진행 사항과 국민들의 인식 정도를 살펴보고, 이에 따른 사후활용시설의 비시장가치를 추정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 여수세계박람회장의 사후활용 조성 방향에 대해 살펴 본 후 현재 추진이 지연되고 있는 사후활용 추진 현황에 대해 검토해 보았다. 또한 일반 국민들이 여수세계박람회장 사후활용에 대한 인식도 조사를 위해 전국에서 900명의 표본을 선출하여 여수세계박람회장의 방문의사 등의 설문을 수행하였다. 그리고 이와 아울러 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 이용하여 여수세계박람회장의 비시장가치를 추정하였다. 추정 결과 여수세계박람회장 사후활용시설은 연간 508억원, 5년간 총 2,171억원인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여수세계박람회장의 사후활용시설이 잠재적 가치가 매우 크며,정부는 향후 추진방향의 설정이 이를 고려할 필요가 있다는 점을 암시하고 있다.

        Ethanol extract of loquat fruit skin inhibits the proliferation and metastatic potential of EJ human bladder carcinoma cells

        Although studies on biological properties of loquat plant have been performed, research on the molecular mechanism of action in loquat fruit skin is very limited. Therefore, we investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the inhibitory activity of ethanol extract from loquat fruit skin (EEFS) against the proliferation and metastatic potential of EJ bladder carcinoma cells. Treatment of EJ cells with EEFS significantly inhibited their proliferation by inducing cell-cycle arrest at the G1 phase. Expression of CDK2, CDK4, cyclin D1, and cyclin E was altered by EEFS treatment. Interestingly, p27KIP1, but not p21WAF1 or p53, was identified as a candidate CDK inhibitor (CDKI) associated with the EEFS-mediated inhibition of proliferation. Among mitogen-activated protein kinases, ERK1/2 phosphorylation was significantly elevated but not that of p38 and JNK. In addition, phospho-AKT (protein kinase B; PKB) was not affected by EEFS treatment. Aggressive phenotypes, including migratory and invasive potentials of EJ cells, were similarly diminished by EEFS. Gelatin zymography showed that the enzymatic activity of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 was markedly inhibited by treatment with EEFS. Results from electrophoretic mobility shift assays demonstrated that MMP-9 inhibition was associated with reduced binding activities of transcription factors NF-κB, activator protein-1, and specificity protein 1 to its promoter region. Taken together, our data clearly indicate that EEFS inhibits the proliferation of EJ cells through p27KIP1, which is associated with G1 arrest and increased extracellular signal–regulated kinase phosphorylation. Metastatic potential represented by MMP-9 activity was also remarkably inhibited by EEFS, suggesting that EEFS is a novel chemotherapeutic agent for bladder cancers.

      • Shope Rabbit Papillomavirus DNA의 Cloning 및 특성 규명

        Shope rabbit papillomavirus (SRPV), a member of Genus papillomavirus of Family Papovariridae, causes benign tumors (papillomas) of squamous epithelium both in its natural host, i.e.,, cottontail rabbits and in its artificial host, i.e., domestic rabbits. So far, SRPV has never been successfully cultivated in tissue culture cells, and the lack of reliable tissue culture system for transformation assay has seriously hindered the progress in the oncogenic study of this well-known DNA tumor virus. Therefore, the only possible way of obtaining SRPV in, the laboratory is to inoculate cottontail rabbits with SRPV and to harvest the virus-loaded papilloma tissues. This study was undertaken 1) to isolate SRPV DNA from SRPV-induced papillomas of either cottontail rabbits or domestic rabbits, 2) to determine the restriction endonuclease cleavage sites of such purified SRPV DNA, 3) to carry out cloning of SRPV DNA in E. coli with the use of pBR322 vector and 4) to test the oncogenicity of cloned SRPV DNA-pBR322 recombinants in the domestic rabbits through inoculation experiments. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Though repeated attempts failed to isolate purified Shope rabbit papillomavirus DNA from the domestic rabbit papillomas (DRP), a good yields of purified SRPV DNA were successfully isolated from the cottontial rabbit papillomas (GRP). 2. With the purified SRPV DNA from GRP, the presence of cleavage sites for a number of restriction endonucleases was confirmed and extended, and the approximate molecular length of isolated SRPV DNA was determined to be 8 kbp. 3. Molecular cloning of isolated SRPV DNA was completed in E. coli YMC-10, using pBR322 as the vector, at the Eco RI and Sal I cleavage site, respectively. The cloned products were either Eco RI-site cloned SRPV DNA-pBR322 recombinant or Sal I site-cloned SRPV DAN-pBR322 recombinant. 4. Inoculations of cloned SRPV DNA-pBR322 recombinants into the domestic rabbits' skin failed to establish the oncogenic potential of the cloned products.

      • 음성 인식을 이용한 영어학습기 구현

        본 논문에서는 Conversay 음성인식엔진 사용법을 근간으로 한 Conversay SD K로 3개의 시나리오를 바탕으로 프로그램화하여 음성인식을 이용한 어학 학습기를 구현하였다. 이를 위하여 리눅스를 탑재하였고. 마이크로 프로세서로 Intel의 StrongARM SA1110을 사용하여 구현하였으며,기능으로는 영어 발음/ 문장 인식 기능, 영어 대화 기능과 같은 기본기능 외에 음성을 이용한 시간 조정, 알람 기능, Test 기능, 학습 Check 기능 등을 부가하였다. This study will reilize the learning device of foreign languages using voice recognition that is programmed based on three scenarios by the Conversay SDK. This device is embedd not with basic functions such as pronunciation/phrase recognition function, conversation function etc., but also with additional functions using user's voices such as timer function, alarming function, test function, learning check function etc.
