Piezoelectric nanogenerators are energy harvesting device to convert a mechanical energy into an electric energy using nanostructured piezoelectric materials. This review summarizes works to date on piezoelectric nanogenerators, starting with a basic theory of piezoelectricity and working mechanism, and moving through the reports of numerous nanogenerators using nanorod arrays, flexible substrates and alternative materials. A sufficient power generated from nanogenerators suggests feasible applications for either power supplies or strain sensors of highly integratedl nano devices. Further development of nanogenerators holds promise for the development of self-powered implantable and wearable electronics.
결정화 공정을 위한 L-ornithine aspartate의 용해도에 관한 연구

Study on the solubility of L-ornithine aspartate with temperature, alcohol, additive was invescated. Generally, the solubilities of amio acids are effected by orniganic solvent, so the solubility of L-ornithine aspartate was represented to reduce by adding alcohol. The solubility of L-ornithine aspartate with temperature incressed at methanol volume ratio 40%, but was slightly effected at methanol volume ratio 60% and 80%. The effect of aspartic acid was not signifigant, too.
N-Docosylquinolinium-TCNQ LB막의 광학적 특성

Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique is one of the most possible candidate for the development of the devices using ultrathin organic film. For the electrical application of the organic films, one of the important factor is enhancing the electrical conductivity. During the past decade many papers have been published in the field of high electrical conducting LB films. Recently, Andre Barraud et al. have shown that the use of molecular association involving TCNQ-Iodine charge transfer(CT) systems can give rise to a considerable increase in the electrical conductivity. The present paper is devoted to the physical and electrical characteristics of N-docosylquinolium-TCNQ films compared with the films doped with 12. Iodine affects the degree of charge transfer and the conductivity of the films. The UV-visible absorption spectra of the film doped with 12 shows that the peak of 13-which had electronic transition at 300∼350nm and (TCNQ-)2 dimer absorption disappered. The in-plane electrical conductivity of the films doped with 12 were 1.4X10-6S/cm. which is three orders of magnitude higher conductivity than undoped LB films. But this enhanced conductivity was relatively low in compared with the value which previously reported from A. Barraud et al.. the film structural difference between Y and Z-type may cause the conductivity. Another possible reasons of the structural difference was the overlapping TCNQ anion radical in LB films.
Chalcone 유도체를 도입한 폴리이미드 배향막에서의 광배향 특성

The conventional rubbing technique can't satisfy recent demands for alignment quality. Therefore the photoalignment with UV light have been investigated. Polyimide (PI) film was used as an alignment layer, The PI film (4wt%) was spin coated 3) and cured. The thickness of the coated PI film was about 50 nm. By Williamson synthesis 4), the coated PI film was modified with the chalcone derivatives, The LPUV light was irradiated on the PI film. A cell was fabricated by injecting LC (BL001) into a pair of substrate. The LPUV light irradiation caused dimerization between the chalcones or isomerization in the chalcone derivatives. The long alkyl-chains were aligned homeotropically to the PI film. Thereby the alignment direction of LC-molecules was homcotropic to the PI film.
