As a result of raid urbanization for two decades, there are growing serious problems both in social and physical environment. Housing, being basic factor in human life, is one of the most typical example of these problems. In this paper, the main focus is on analysing the generator of housing problems and identifying the problems of housing policy in Chonnam region. The result of the published data analysis shows that the rate of household growth is much higher than the rate of housing stock increase, which means that without proper housing policy, the rate of hosing deficiency will grow higher. And without proper land use strategies, overcrowding especially in Yeosoo and Mokpo causes housing degrades in quality of living. The share of public urban housings in Chonnam is much lower than other urban areas in Korea, which shows the lack of interests in housing problems in Chonnam region. Too low interests in land subdivision and renewals by local government should be mentioned, and urban service facilities and neighborhood facilities are also much lower condition than other cities. It is supposed that the reason of these problems is based on the lack of professional knowledges and institute. To remedy these problems, investments to increase housing stocks and research on housing, citizen participation in policy making and proper housing policy is essential.

This study was to investigate the effect of processing variables in the foam sizing of new synthetic filament yarn such as size add-on, size content and drying temperature to improve weaving performance. The new synthetic filament yarn was required to be size at a low temperature. The flaming characteristics of copolyester resin, the influence of viscosity in the size solution, the framable concentration, the abrasion resistence photographs of cross-section of sized yarn were demonstrated. The product such as water dispersible copolyester of relatively low viscosity had a high degree of penetration in the yarn. The strength and elongation of sized yarn were not proportional to the size add-on. The size add-on level was required .to achieve the level of abrasion resistance necessary to weave the yarn. As a result, the properties of new synthetic filament yarn sized using foam were equivalent or superior to those of similar yarn sized conventionally.

This study tries to identify the place-formation of the residents m the urban housing area. The objectives of this study are to identify influence of place-formation by the road system and the situation of the neighborhood facilities in the urban residential area, and to offer basic data that is to helpful to make good residential environment The road system is classified into the closed and open-type according to passing or not in urban residential area. And the open-type can be divided into the street and non-street type in accordance with streets' character created by passing traffic load, mixed use building for the dwelling and commerce, neighborhood facilities like markets, stores, shops, and a physical scale of road. The behavioral map by direct observation and unstructured interview were conducted as the man research method. Arid then the analysis of the observed contents is performed focusing on the attributes of user groups, the types of behaviors, the occurrence frequency, location of activities, arid the intensity of activity.

우리나라도 주택공사와 주택은행을 통한 주택의 공급과 금융의 측면에서와 주택건설 촉진법을 통해 종합적이고 제도적 측면에서 주택문제의 해결을 기하고 있으며 주택개발업자들을 활성화시킴으로써 민간자본을 통한 주택공급을 원활히 하려고 노력하고 있다. 이 주택건설촉진법이 발효한 지가 10년이 되는 시점에서 제도적 장치가 어떻게 작동되고 있으며 작용과 반작용이 어떻게 나타나는 지를 알아보고, 주택문제 뿐만 아니라 전반적인 도시환경에 미친 영향을 검토할 필요가 있을 것이다. 여기서는 이러한 요구에 따라 우리나라 대도시중에서 광주직할시를 중심으로 살펴 보기로 한다.
