For the unmanned configuration of the machine tool processing technique, the initial machining origin must be autonomously recognized when the machining material is changed. In general, when changing to a different sized workpiece, the operator must measure the initial machining origin, which has been changed manually or semi-automatically, and the purpose is to recognize and monitor it autonomously. In this paper, we will explain the method and experimental results for the autonomous recognition of the initial machining origin due to material change.

This paper introduces the case study on development of airbag safety sensor by supporting convenience for driver. Passenger Disable Switch(PDS) is desigend and evaluated by simulation process and operating test. And also, many related sensors were supported for performance test of PDS. The reliability of PDS was analyzed for safe operation and application in a moto vehicle.

Linear vibrator is one of the core parts for a smartphone. In this study, we suggest micro-factory design for manufacturing linear vibrator. The micro-factory is designed to be consisted of four main assembly machines which are including cover assembly, weight assembly, plate assembly and total assembly. Cycle time of the factory is expected to be about 8 sec.

In this paper, we have attempted to analyze current situation and the problem of domestic and overseas harbor container delivery & cargo work automation centered around major harbors and to suggest effective way to deal with the issue in order to improve the productivity of container cargo work per crane, the major index of productivity of high value-added shipbuilding industry. In particular, we have suggested the way to realize effective automation system that can improve the efficiency of harbor container delivery & cargo work through the development of high-tech measuring automation technology using microwave radar and applied design that have broken away from traditional automation system and traditional problems such as dependence on manual work and the problem of laser method in which workers cannot identify laser beam under sunlight and workers’ eyesight can be weakened by being exposed to laser beam.

Cellular phone camera lens is produced by plastic injection molding process. Plastic injection mold has the gate through that lens mold is filled by molten plastic. Mold gate destroys the lens symmetry so lens has other special quality according to the orientation. Multi picker that can control the pitch has been introduced for productivity elevation. But the multi picker can not control the rotation. In this paper multi picker for lens module assembly is designed to control lens orientation and the pitch simultaneously.

Micro-factory has many advantages but few examples of the commercialization. Because productivity and yield are less considered in micro-factory research. The micro-factory must also ensure productivity and yield in order to be commercialized. In this study commercialization of assembly micro-factory for phone camera lens module is a main goal.
