1P-129 Selective Oxidation of Primary Hydroxyl Groups on Β-Cyclodextrin

Cyclodextrins are a family of cyclic linked oligosaccharides consisting mainly of six, seven and eight glucose units. They have the remarkable property of complexing with a large variety of guest molecules in their hydrophobic cavity. Selective chemical modifications of the hydroxyl groups in order to prepare new compounds with specific properties are difficult due to the large number of hydroxyl groups in cyclodextrins. By using 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl radical (TEMPO), selective modifications on primary hydroxyl groups of β-cyclodextrins (β-CD) were described. In this study, the primary hydroxyl groups on β-CD were oxidized with the reaction of sodium hypochlorite, sodium bromide and catalytic amounts of TEMPO keeping pH at 10. The synthesized carboxy-β-CD was characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopies.
HDTU용 8$\times$8 최적화 정수형 여현 변환의 VLSE 구조

본 논문에서는 실시간 영상처리 시스템나 HDTV에서의 영상신호 압축 및 복원의 실시간처리를 위해 사용하는 고성능 2-D DCT 프로세서의 VLSI 구조를 최적화 정수형 여현 변환(OICT)의 고속 연산 알고리즘을 이용하여 구현하였다. OICT의 고속 연산 알고리즘의 계수는 정수값이어서 변환시 정수형 연산을 수행하게 되므로 부동소수점 연산을 수행하는 DCT에 비해 전체적으로 하드웨어의 복잡도와 속도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 제안한 VLSI 구조는 이러한 OICT의 장점을 설려 곱셈기를 입력값의 쉬프트와 덧셈기만으로 구성하여 고속연산을 수행하게 하므로써 비용과 속도를 개선할 수 있었다. We present VLSI architecture for a high performance 2-D DCT processor which is used compressing system of real time image processing or HDTV using fast computational algorithm of the Optimized Integer Cosine Transform(OICT). The coefficients of the OICT are integer, so the OICT performs only the integer operations for both forward and inverse transform. Therefore the proposed architecture could be greatly enhanced in improving the speed, reduced the hardware cost considerably by replacing the multiplication operations with shift and addition operations compared with DCT which performs floating-point operations.
시간 변화에 따른 여름철 산림환경의 생리ᐧ 심리적 안정 효과

This study investigated temporal changes in forest physical variables and their effects on thermal comfort and physiological and psychological responses. Environmental factors (air temperature, mean radiant temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity), the predicted mean vote (PMV), and the predicted percentage of dissatisfied (PPD) visitors were continuously measured between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We assessed the physiological and psychological responses (heart rate variability, heart rate, oral temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, thermal sensation vote, comfort sensation vote, and subjective feelings) of 30 male university students (average age: 21.7±1.9 years), who closed their eyes and relaxed for 5 minutes every hour. Examination of correlations between environmental factors and physiological responses showed that ① the mean radiant temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity significantly changed with time; ② PMV and PPD also showed significant changes over time, and the thermal sensation vote corresponded with PMV; however, the comfort sensation vote did not correspond with PPD; ③ Among the physiological responses, parasympathetic nerve activity, sympathetic nerve activity, heart rate, and diastolic blood pressure significantly varied with time, with parasympathetic nerve activity having the lowest value and sympathetic nerve activity the highest at the highest air temperature (2:00-4:00 PM); and ④ Air temperature, mean radiant temperature, and wind speed showed a negative correlation with parasympathetic nerve activity and a positive correlation with sympathetic nerve activity. These findings indicate that the relaxation effects of the forest environment depend on what time of day people are exposed to it, and the changes occurring in forest environmental factors over time modulate these effects. 본 연구는 시간에 따른 산림환경의 물리환경요소 변화와 이에 따른 온열환경 쾌적성, 인체의 생리·심리적 반응의차이를 종합적으로 규명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 9시부터 18시까지 산림환경의 물리환경요소(공기온도, 평균복사온도, 풍속, 상대습도)와 예상평균한서감지수(PMV), 예상불만족률(PPD)를 연속 측정하고, 1시간 간격으로 남자 대학생 30명(평균연령: 21.7±1.9세)이 눈을 감고 5분 동안 안정을 취할 때의 생리·심리적 반응(심박변이도, 심박수, 구강체온, 혈압, 맥박수, 주관적 온열감과 쾌적감 및 인상)을 조사하였다. 더불어 물리환경요소와 생리적 반응 사이의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 그결과, ① 공기온도, 평균복사온도, 풍속, 상대습도 모두 시간에 따라 유의하게 변화하였다. ② PMV와 PPD도 시간에 따라유의하게 변화하였다. 주관적 온열감은 PMV와 일치하였으나, 주관적 쾌적감은 PPD와 일치하지 않았다. ③ 생리적 반응 중ln(HF), ln(LF/HF), 심박수, 이완기혈압이 시간에 따라 유의하게 변화하였다. 공기온도가 가장 높았던 14~16시에 ln(HF)는가장 낮았고, ln(LF/HF)는 가장 높았다. ④ 공기온도, 평균복사온도, 풍속은 ln(HF)와 음의 상관관계, ln(LF/HF)와 양의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 이를 통해 산림환경을 이용하는 시간대에 따라 이용객의 쾌적감과 생리·심리적 안정 효과가 달라질수 있으며, 시간에 따른 산림환경의 물리환경요소 변화가 이러한 차이에 영향을 미친다는 사실이 밝혀졌다.
Modified β-cyclodextrin With L-Ascorbic acid For Skin Whitening Agent

L-Ascorbic acid (AA) is one of the interesting and well known acids in nature which can be used in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food industry due to its bioactivity and anti-oxidation property. But the bioavailability of AA decreases with time because it is spontaneously oxidized in the presence of oxygen. Cyclodextrin (CD) which has hydrophobic inside and hydrophilic outside, can encapsulate various organic/inorganic molecules to form inclusion complex with hydrophobic compounds. Thus they can enhance the solubility and chemical stability of such compounds in aqueous solution, and finally increase the bioavailability. This study aimed to prepare the novel skin whitening agent including CD, which has better properties in skin permeation, whitening efficiency and duration time than existing product. AA was covalently bonded to β-CD using succinic anhydride (SAH) as a linkage, and characterized through FT-IR, NMR, MALDI-TOF, UV, respectively.
