With the spread of mobile devices, the use of mobile healthcare and e-learning using smartphones is increasing [1][2]. Recently, mobile healthcare using the diabetes self-management mobile app is gradually spreading [7]. Diabetes management using a mobile device can be input and recorded without time and space limitations, enabling efficient self-blood sugar management [8]. The effectiveness of the diabetes self-management mobile app may differ depending on what function is used [9], so it is necessary to consider the functions of the app for effective diabetes self-management. This study aims to supplement the limitations of blood sugar and self-management by diabetic patients themselves and to examine the functions through literature analysis on the diabetes self-management app used for effective management and to help in the development direction and potential of self-management app.

With the advent of the digital healthcare era, the need for clinical trials of products utilizing personal health information collected through wearable devices has been emphasized. However, medical device development companies are not actively conducting clinical trials of digital healthcare due to the lack of information to be included in clinical regulations, procedures and designs. Therefore, this paper aims to establish the foundation of industrial competitiveness by supporting clinical usefulness and value verification of domestic digital healthcare medical device products.

The medical device industry is increasing its software development proportion as it converges with the latest technologies such as IT, mobile, and the Internet of Things. This is raising concerns about software regulations. This paper is to identify the standard of global medical device software and to understand a (present time’s) requirement of the companies such as IT and medical device software through the surveys.
