본 연구는 대규모 국제행사인 88서울올림픽과 대전엑스포요93. 2002한일월드컵축구대회 등의 공연행사를 중심으로 공연 된 해외공연 현황과 경향을 조사함으로써 국제행사가 한국 창작무용의 국제화. 즉 해외공연을 통한 국제교류의 현황에 대해서 알아보았다. 연구 분석의 초점은 국가 주도 국제행사 기간을 중심으로 공연 된 해외공연 실태를 중심으로 연구함으로써 국제화에 관한 창작무용의 경향을 파악하고자 하는데 연구의 목적을 둔다. 본 논문의 연구방법은 문헌연구 방법을 사용하였다. 단행본, 논문, 무용전문지, 신문, 학회지 등의 관련 자료 조사를 통하여 대규모 국제행사로 인한 창작무용의 공연현황을 중심으로 국제화 경향을 살펴보았다. 연구의 제한점으로는 한국 창작무용에 국한한 점, 작품분석과 양적 데이터를 배제한 점, 국•공립기관이나 무용단체의 국제교류에 주안한 점, 범세계적인 국제행사 중 88서울올림픽, 대전엑스포93, 2002 한일월드컵축구대회 등으로 제한하고 행사년도를 중심으로 해외에서 공연 된 현황만을 중심으로 조사한 점 등을 들 수 있다. 이상의 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과로는 정부 주도적인 국제 행사의 국내 유치는 한국적 예술작품으로서 한국 창작무용이 다양한 국가에서 보다 많은 공연을 할 수 있도록 직접•간접적인 영향력을 행사하여 본격적인 한국무용의 국제교류의 시작이 성립되었다는 점이 입증되었다. 최근은 예술적 창작 작품의 활성화, 작품의 레퍼토리화, 지속적인 해외공연과 공연 지역도 다변화, 해외합작 프로젝트 등을 통한 국제교류가 한층 심화되고 있는 시점이다. 국제화가 본격화 된 계기 중 국제행사 개최를 통한 한국 창작무용의 해외공연 증대 원인을 문화적 확산이라는 사회변동의 얼 요인을 통해 연구함으로써 급진적인 현대 사회의 세계화의 번화와 도래하는 미래에 대해 한국 창작무용의 향방을 예측할 수 있도록 하는 기초 자료를 제시하고자 하는데 본 논문의 의의가 있다, This report outlines the investigation of the features of various international events like Seoul Olympic 1988, Dae Jun Expo 93, 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea-Japan and thus evaluates how international exchange via such overseas performance have contributed to the trend of globalization of Korean creative dance. The research aims to reflect the globalization of Korean creative dance due to social change. In particular, studies have been conducted in examining how cultural elements such as performances carried out overseas has contributed towards spreading of globalization of creative dance. The secondary resources were mainly used to support the statement in analyzing the current movement towards the globalization of Korean creative dance. The main sources include mook, published reports, specialized magazines and learned journals. The focus of this report is only bounded to Korean dance and has excluded its analysis of data. The lacking number of international performance, which were considered in this report, and rather heavy focus on the study of the international exchange of data between various dance associations gives unbalanced features of report overall and consequently results in the limitations of this report. Through this research, it has been established that by the government attracting international events to domestic soil, Korean artworks such as creative dancing, have gained further opportunities to perform abroad thus setting the foundations for international cultural exchange of Korean dancing. Recently, there has been a deepening of international exchange through the revitalization of Creative artworks, repertory, of artworks, continuation of tours abroad, diversification of venues and joint international projects. This research was started with the initiative of setting a roadmap for Korean creative dancing in an era of cultural globalization and the likely impacts of attracting international events and increase in the number of overseas tours.
