This is a study on the information environment of first-class hotels with the focus on their commercial interaction through electronic network. The development of the Internet has facilitated the access of customers for interactions like hotel room reservation. This study has surveyed the present state of commercial interaction through the Internet for first-class hotels located in Seoul. The change of profit and the effect on the off-line interaction after the change of the reservation system have been surveyed. This study shows the relationship between the ever-changing information environment in e-commerce and the hotel information system and suggests some alternatives utilizing information technology for the enhancement of competition of hotels.
Modified Booth와 Vedic 알고리듬을 이용한 MAC(multiplication-accumulation computation)회로 설계

In this paper, we propose a 16x16 bit MAC (multiplication-accumulation computation) circuit using modified Booth algorithm and Vedic algorithm. The MAC is composed of two multipliers; Rdix-4 based 8x8 bit modified Booth multiplier and 8x8 bit Vedic multiplier. A carry-save addition operation with optimized compressors is proposed to omit the use of half adders to reduce the hardware complexity further. Pipelined latches are used to make the noneffective operation maintain the status of the previous operation so as to reduce the switching activities from the addition performed in MAC. Compared to conventional MAC circuit, the proposed circuit is able to reduce 20.9% and 16.9% of propagation delay time and power-delay-product, respectively. However, the proposed circuit is increased to 5.2% of power consumption. The proposed circuit is designed with standard 0.18u CMOS technology using 1.8V supply voltage. The validity and effectiveness are verified through the HSPICE simulation.
