INTRODUTION This study aims to research into the influence that learning and daily life are affected by the mental attitude. As the social life has become more manifold, students' mental attitude becomes more complicated than that of a bygone age. They feel anxiety from the rapid change of their environment. Therefore, it is very difficult for them to maintain normal mental attitude without strong will and good decision. Normal mental attitude must be made by not only stable human behavior but also sound daily life. Also, the state of mental attitude influences to the promotion of learning and daily life. There, I concretly intend to examine on the mental attitude of middle school students, high school students, and college students. FINDINGS Thus according to research on this study, it shows that:1. Students who have been brought up in a harmonious household, with stable mental attitude can find their lives worth living through affirmative thought. 2. But on the contrary, the students who don's have good mental attitude react against their parents, friends, and society, or they don's take up a positive attitude others. 3. And in the daily life with parents, teachers, and between friends, it is shown that most of students who have a good mental attitude are mainly frank with friends, just about that age. 4. It is investigated that those who conversing with others hormoniously are sound on their ways of thinking, and they have no trouble to attain the possibilitie's to get over the difficulties on their places. 5. The students who don's have strong will are unable to be friend with others naturally and unconsiously. 6. The students who don's have stable mental attitude must be protected from their parents or teachers. 7. Teachers or parents must protect the students who don's have stable mental attitude according to their abilities, and give them advice to take an optimistic view of life. CONCLUSION Stable mental attitude motivates the promotion of learning and forms good daily life. On the contrary, the unstable mental attitude makes anxiety, conflict and loses volition in the social life. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers and parents to help them to have stable mental attitude.

      • 學生들의 學校生活에 대한 態度와 心理的 安定 追究에 관한 調査硏究

        方貞福,申澄雨 상명대학교 교육문제연구소 1980 敎育硏究 Vol.2 No.-

Abstract This thesis is written to observe the attitude of students toward campus life and their pursuit for psychological stability. For that purpose, 1246 students adoped by stratified voluntary sampling method from four middle schools and six high schools in Seoul were used for statistical questionnaire. , The result of this research can be categorized into four. The first is "the matter of concern" of the students. They, no matter boys or girls, had the greatest interest in their future design and secondarily in their studies. The second is "The control of mental stability and fatigue". In general, middle school students were psychologically more stabilized than high school students and girl-students than boy-students. About three forths among middle school students and above a half among high school students were proved to be stable. The most prominent reasons of instability were the matter of studies and that of family affairs. The former was remarkable among girl-students, and the latter among boy-students. As for the means to overcome fatigue, sports were employed by boys, and readings by girls. In ordinary days the degree of student's mental fatigue and the means to overcome it generally tended to be similar however boy students felt much more fatigue and they were apt to choose sleep or sports. And as they grow older, they pursued mental restoration from fatigue rather than physical one. The third is "the expectation about school, education" and "the degree of satisfaction over campus life". Middle school students appeared to be more satisfactory (more than four fifths) over campus life than high school students, As they grew older, dissatisfaction over campus life also grew, the reason of which was the depression in studies and the deterioration of human relation with classmate. They replied that they attend school to build up themselves as desirable person (mostly for girls) and to acquire good knowledge (mostly for boys), Besides, they expected for the education to be able to give them more adaptivility to social life. The last is "self-consciousness of students". Girl-students than boy-students, and high school students than middle school students appeared to be more sincere in completing their duties. They felt pricks of conscience when they told a lie or when they were insincere in their task. Besides, about half of them replied that they had confidence against temptation and hardships.
