N/A Acrylic quarternary polymers were synthesized to prepare high-solid coatings. Acrylic resins were synthesized by the radical polymerization of n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate. From the results of experiment on reaction condition to get high-solid acrylic resins with 70% solid content and viscosity of 1200cps, it was found that di-tert-amyl peroxide among the four types of initiators have lower viscosity and higher degree of conversion. The optinum initiator amount, chain transfer agent, reaction temperature and the dropping time were 5wt%, 4wt%, 150℃ and 5hrs, respectively.

N/A An acrylic resin was synthesized with several monomers, styrene(St), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(2-HEMA), n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and acetoacetoxyethl methacrylate(AAEM) to prepare a high-solid coatings. Then, a high-solid acryl/melamine coatings was prepared by curing the acrylic resin with a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmelamine(HMMM). The curing behavior of the acrylic resin with HMMM was investigated by the Ozawa method using DSC. For AAEM/HMMM and 2-HEMA/HMMM curing reactions, activation energies were 33.01 and 27.12 ㎉/㏖ and frequency factors were 9.54×10exp(15) and 1.53×10exp(13) min^1, respectively. From the results, it was found out that 2-HEMA showed higher reactivity with the curing agent than AAEM.

To prepare a O/W type durable softner(OEsA), octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate and tetra(2-dodecaminoethyl) urea synthesized as the main components of softner, were blended with polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether sorbitan sesquioleate, and polyoxyethylene(7) stearyl ether in various compositions. Emulsion stability of OESA was found was to be good durable softner for nylon through the examination of softness, lubrication, antistatic property, bending resistance, and color fastness.

Durable softening water repellents for nylon fiber were synthesized, using two compounds: quaternized octadecyl methacrylate-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer as a mother resin of water repellent and quaternized fatty carbamide for improving softness and hydrostatic pressure, of which syntheses were studied in the previous papers. They were blended with waxes and emulsifiers in a variety of ratios and synthesized into water repellent PADWC, and it was nylon taffeta treated with and without textile finishing resin. The synthesized water repellents can be used either or without resin. The optimum curing temperature was 150 to 160℃ and the optimum concentration was 3 to 5wt%. In the independent and conjunct treatment, the water repellency of nylon taffeta samples have no remarkable changes between initial value and that after three times washing, so these prove that the synthesized compounds are durable water repellent. The water repellency of PADWC-3 and -4 were around 90. Also, comparison of crease recovery and tear strength after repelling treatment showed that the synthesized water repellents have a very high softening effect.
Resorcinol 계 Photoresist 의 합성과 그 감광 특성

Photoresist로의 응용을 위하여 감광성 관능기를 가진 폴리머인 polyresorcinol-formaldehyde glycidyl ether의 cinnamoyl ester(RGEFC)를 제조하였다. RGEFC의 감광 특성은 노광 전후의 유기용매에 대한 용해도 차이로서 결정하였는데, 유리판상에 도포한 각종 시료를 제반조건하에서 노광한 다음, 도포시에 사용한 같은 용매에 담그어 잔막수득량을 계산하였다. 필름의 감도와 밀접한 관계를 가지는 수득량은 수지의 중합도, 증감제의 종류 및 첨가농도에 따라 좌우되었으며, 그 감도는 폴리머의 중합도에 의존되어 중합도가 커질수록 증가되었다. 사용된 증감제 중 RGEFC에 대한 가장 효과적인 증감제는 2, 6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline이었다. The cinnamoyl esters of polyresorcinol-formaldehyde glycidyl ether (RGEFC) with photosensitive functional group were prepared. Photosensitivity of RGEFC were investigated by the change of solubility before and after exposure to light. Various samples coated on glass plates were exposed to light under various conditions and steeped in the same solvent as used for coating, and then the yield of residual film was calculated. The yield of the residual film which was closely related to the sensitivity of the film, was affected by the degree of polymerization of the backbone resin, sensitizers and their concentration. The sensitivity was depended upon the degree of polymerization. Most effective sensitizer for RGEFC among the sensitizers used was 2, 6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline.
