      • 급변류 구간에서의 사석 및 돌망태의 안정성 비교

        방조제 공사중 투하하여 기초지반에 안착된 석재 및 돌망태의 이동성은 방조제 물막이 공사 진행에 따라 내·외 수위차와 조류속이 증가함에 따라서 더욱 증대된다. 공사진행이 더 진행됨에 따라 조류속은 점변류(Gradually Varied Flow)에서 급변류(Rapidly Varied How)로 변하고, 사석의 초기운동은 조류속 뿐만 아니라 사석의 형상과 조류방향에 따른 경계층 흐름 및 와류운동의 영향이 대단히 크므로 시공사석의 규모는 부정류 (Unsteady Flow)와 난류 (Turbulent Flow)현상에 대한 보다 정밀한 분석을 통하여 결정되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 새만금 방조제의 성공적인 끝막이를 위해 시공사석별로 기존에 사용된 공식을 이용하여 사석의 한계유속을 결정 후 별도의 모형사석(3.0Ton/EA 사석, 3.0Ton/EA 돌망태)을 제작하여 수리모형 실험으로 검증하고, 현장에서 채취되는 사석의 크기 및 양이 한계가 있으므로 이의 대안으로 제작되는 돌망태의 한계유속을 사석의 한계유속과 비교하여 돌망태의 효과를 파악하고자 한다. 연구결과 사석이 바닥보호공, 상고공, 1차사석재로 축조될 경우 한계유속을 모형실험과 기존의 사용공식과 비교한 모형실험의 한계유속과 공식에서 산정된 한계유속이 거의 비슷한 경향으로 나타나 현장에서 방조제 체절시 공식을 앞에서 언급한 발생 유속별 사석규모를 산정하여도 될 것으로 판단되며, 돌망태는 동일규모의 사석보다 기초바닥의 안착성과 맞물림 효과가 우수하였고, 사석보다 약 1.25~1.36배의 유속에 저항하는 것으로 나타났으며, 방조제 최종체절시 시공사석이 부족할 경우와 사석의 개당중량이 미달될 경우 돌망태를 사용하여 시공한다면 방조제의 안정성 측면에 상당한 역할을 할 것으로 판단된다. Youngsan Barrier TM/TC system is composed of one control center, three reservoirs and twenty AWS systems. For this system we developed water management program which includes tide forecast program, flood forecast program, drought reduction program, irrigation scheduling program and database program. With these program we expect that operators can improve the irrigation efficiencies of the irrigation systems due to the timely irrigation on a right place, in a proper quantity and reduce the cost of maintenance and reduce flood and drought damages of the Youngsan barrier.

      • Radial Gate 형식의 배수갑문 흐름조건별 유량계수 검토

        Gates for the purpose of drainage are classified following the types of structure as: Radial Gate, Sluice Gate, Rolling Gate, Drum Gate. In many cases of the reclamation project the sluice type of gates are applied. Different from this general trend, however the radial type of gate was adopted in the Saemangeum project. In this case the discharge coefficients which are used for the sluice type of gate was applied. To estimate the correct amount of discharge which will be evacuated through the gates, therefore the proper discharge coefficients should be estimated before the operation of the gates. The discharge coefficients were estimated through the physical hydraulic modeling, and we got the results as: 0.72~0.84 for the submerged condition on the both sides of upstream and downstream, 0.62~0.83 for the free surface condition on the downtream side only, and 1.04~1.12 for the free surface condition on the both sides of upstream and downstream. The discharge coefficients obtained from the experiments are greater than those of the sluice gates in the design criteria. From the results of the study we may expect that in the Saemangeum project the radial gates could evacuate larger amount of discharge than the originally designed discharge, so that we may sure that the Saemangeum gates have enough capability to control the evacuation of water not only in the usual period but also in the flooding season.

      • 확산모형에 의한 하구에서의 오염물질이동 예측

        Environmental impact on a land reclamation project, Hwaong tidal barrier was studied using the dispersion and advection model to predict the influence of polluted water discharged from freshwater reservior. The simulation results show that the distribution of concentration by influence of polluted water discharged during a tidal cycle appeared to be extinguished at atmost all points after two tidal cycle. Peak concentration near the sluice gate is found out to be higher during the spring tide than neap tide. Equi-concentration contour line appeared to distributed a longer according to line of sea dike in spring tide than neap tide. The reasons is because influence by currents of northwest direction is a stronger, compared to spring tide and neap tide in the flood tide.

      • 담수호 저층배수시설 방류구 위치선정을 위한 저층방류수 해양수중 혼합특성해석

        Initial mixing characteristics in near field regions were analyzed by FLOW-3D, for analyzing mixing behavior of submerged discharge from freshwater lake in sea water. FLOW-3D model was applied to the region near Geum-ho dike for its verification. Simulation results from FLOW-3D were compared to the observed data for the verification periods. FLOW-3D showed resonable prediction results compared to the observed data, except underestimation in area near outfall. Particularly, FLOW-3D showed a good prediction for movement of buoyancy jets. In addition, FLOW-3D model was applied to the region near Saemangeum dike, which is to be constructed in near future. It was expected that the results of model application to Saemangeum area could provide substantial information in planning submerged discharge facilities. Based on the model applications to Saemangeum area, it was recommended that outfall should be located to the distance which gave an enough depth of outfall from water surface.

        This study aimed at proposing the optimum design of stilling basins in dam spillways by analyzing hydraulic characteristics for various positions and shapes of end sills through the hydraulic model test. The performance of energy dissipating in the case of vertical shape of end sill was much better than the case of inclined shape. Moreover, we could confirm that no further improvement in hydraulic characteristics at stilling basin as well as downstream of the river were made if the height of end sill was increased up EL 50m, e.g., the proposed design value by computation.

        As one of the phil-environmental alternative plan of Saemankeum project, gradual development is recommended. The procedure of the Saemankeum project start with the completion of 32 km long sea-dikes which contains two discharge gates until the year 2004. Second step is pre-development of Mangyoung area permitting temporary intrusion of sea water, i.e. tides, by the opening of discharge gate until the environmental evaluation on the water Quality of this area secures permanent meet to government's water Quality standard. Therefore this study is to predict the future condition of this tidal flat with the point of view tidal environments, salt, water Quality, soil mechanics, etc. of Mangyoung area when the sea water still passed in the inland reservoir through the discharge gate.

      • 새만금 방조제 끝막이 구간의 사석 및 돌망태의 안정성 평가

        The hydraulic stabilities and the applicable range of the rock and gabion analyzed from the hydraulic physical modeling were synthetically evaluated relating with the successful final closing of Saemanguem Sea Dike. In the modeling the critical velocities of gabions are changed depends on the gap position, and they are as great as 1.22~1.38 times of those of rock. And the more the mixed ratio of gabion increase, the larger the critical velocity linearly. In the analysis 10% increasing of the mixed ratio of gabion effectuates the increasing of critical velocities in 0.24~ 0.29cm/s in average. From these results the rocks and gabions designed and used for the final closing of Saemanguem Sea Dike could preserve the stability during the closing work. In conclusion, the use of gabion for the final closing of dike gives greater positioning and interlocking so that it made increasing of resistance to the flow velocity, and gave assurance of the stability of structure.

      • 만경수역의 해수유통으로 인한 조간대 면적변화 추정

        A simulation by the TOPAS model, two dimensional finite difference model was performed on the flows through drainage lock gate for the Saemangeum tidal reclamation project. Analysis focus on the changes of intertidal zone areas according to the operation scheme of the gate. The intertidal zone areas were analyzed as 66~70㎢ when the opening of the gate was 300 m. It occupied about 85~90% of intertidal zone areas compared to that the Mangyung sea basin was opened without sea-dike. It appeared to be the most effective in terms of securing enough intertidal zone areas when the gate was operated as inflowing sea-water after 2 day's drainage.

        디지털 매체 혹은 가상현실에서 이미지의 문제

        디지털 기술 혹은 매체는 단순힌 새로운 기술의 출현만을 의미하는 것이 아니다. 그것은 인간의 지각과 상호 의사소통에서 새로운 변화를 의미한다. 이러한 근본적 변화의 성격 때문에 디지털 매체에 대한 철학적 고찰이 필요한 것이다. 이 논문은 디지털 이미지와 가상현실의 문제에 초점을 맞추어 디지털 매체가 어떤 인식론상의 근본적인 변화를 가지고 왔는지에 대해 철학적으로 논구할 것이다. 이에 대한 철학적 논의는 크게 세 가지 쟁점으로 압축될 수 있다. 먼저, 디지털 매체가 낳은 가상현실의 문제이다. 가상현실은 한편으로는 가상적이기도 하지만 또 한편으로는 현실적이기도 하다는 역설적 표현을 담고 있다. 따라서 가상현실의 이러한 역설이 어떻게 해명되어야 하며 그러한 역설이 실제로 디지털 매체 속에서 어떤 방식으로 진행되며, 인간의 지각방식이나 의사소통 체계에 어떤 영향을 끼치는지에 대한 논의가 진행된다. 둘째, 디지털 이미지의 비물질성이라는 특성에 관한 것이다. 주로이미지를 통해서 주어지는 디지털 매체의 정보형태는 '지금'과 '여기'라는 시공간적 규정을 벗어나있다는 특징을 지닌다. 이를 흔히 디지털이미지의 비물질성이라는 특성으로 요약할 수 있다. 이러한 디지털 이미지의 특성은 코드화되는 순간 이미 변형을 전제하므로 그것에 의해서 전달되는 의사소통의 체계 또한 일방적인 것이 아니다. 셋째, 디지털 이미지에 의한 가상현실이 지금까지 현실에 구속된 지각의 세계를 벗어나 새로운 세계를 창출하는가에 대한 물음이다. 여기서는 레비와 비릴리오의 전망을 대비시킴으로써 그 쟁점을 간단하게 살펴보는 것에 논의를 제약한다. The advent of digital technology or media does not simply mean the emergence of a new technology. Quoting Mcluhan, the appearance of a new medium means the alterations in the way of human perceptions and mutual communications. These kinds of the radical changes give a space for the philosophical penetration into the new technology. In this paper I'm just trying to give a rough but philosophical consideration on some issues about digital images, nonetheless eventually leaving the problems unsolved rather than settle down the issues. Considering the current situation of the new media in its initial stage, we can find a good excuse for the delay of a clear conclusion about these problems. Deleuze's saying "philosophy is not solving a problem but posing a problem" can have no more suitable place than in this case. The philosophical problems which are caused by the digital technology are summarized as following three. The first problem is related with the nature of the 'Virtual Reality'. Considered in its literal meaning, the word 'Virtual Reality' itself is contradictory. For the two terms 'virtual' and 'reality' which are all parts of the word are basically irreconcilable with each other. From this contradiction does the question follow inevitably. "Is a Virtual Real world a fictional world or another real world?" Secondly, It's the problem related with the 'immateriality of the digital image'. The fact that the digital image is beyond 'now' and 'here' can be summarized as it's 'immateriality'. This means that digital images (which are the main forms of information used by the digital media) have an unlimited possibility to be transformed. It can open a new horizon for a new type of human perception. Thirdly, is the new dimension produced by the digital media a so-called new world that leads us to the new world of perception unlike our everyday perception? This article deals with the two rival thinkers about this problem, Pierre Levy and Paul Virilio.
