As national income of a country increases, people’s needs for the services are also increasing. Recently, Korea has been confronted with deficit of service account in BOP, despite surplus of goods account. We can suppose that the reason why service deficit has been occurred continuously is mainly due to the system of Korean Foreign Trade Act which exclude the regulation of trade in services. That is, the Act could not regulate trade in services in Korea. So, Korea could not promote the export strategies for trade in services. This paper focuses on discovering the substitutional strategies for the revision of Foreign Trade Act in Korea. As a result, it was concluded that Foreign Trade Act in Korea should be reestablished fundamentally and also should include the articles related to trade in services and trade in goods simultaneously.

Recently, the application of Value Engineering(VE) has become the center of industrial interest for an improvement of productivity and efficiency through a construction technology development, an advancement of project management and the removal of wasting factors in construction projects. In Korea, government implemented 'technology development rewarding system' to encourage cost reduction in construction phase like VECP(value engineering change proposal) in U.S. However, it hasn't got intended result by analogy the fact that there are only 5 cases which has accepted and rewarded for over 10 years because it didn't motivate the contractor and public owner properly. So, this study deduced variables through antecedent research and survey of recognition and then analyzed the causes of problems in an integrated point of view by modeling feedback loop using system dynamics methodology. And then derived from the simulation, it proposed policy alternatives for boosting VE in construction phase by raising recognition degree of project participants.

The BIM(Building Information Modeling) is getting special attention as a method of improving operation efficiency. However, few designers can deal with BIM and design a building at the same time. Recently, regarding the utilization of BIM designers and external modellers work together and modellers‘ modelings follow the work of the designers. lt creates confusion of the works and requires reworks. Therefore, it needs development of the design process focused on the flow of information reflecting the reality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the BIM design process at the introduction phase and find out the improvement of the BIM design process by using the Dependency Structure Matrix(DSM).

To maintain a competitive edge, it is critical that companies effectively manage knowledge. Indeed, knowledge is seen as an important resource in many industries, and the construction industry's interest in knowledge is continuing to grow. However, there are limitations to the current knowledge capture and reuse strategies practiced in the construction industry due to the unique characteristics of knowledge created during the construction project process. Such knowledge is project-oriented, experiential, and context-specific, and because of these characteristics, the reuse of knowledge can be difficult. Therefore, this research focuses on identifying and examining the characteristics of construction knowledge. Then, these characteristics are applied in the development of an ontology framework for construction knowledge retrieval system, which is proposed to improve construction knowledge retrieval and knowledge reuse.
초고층 건축공사의 작업원 양중운영을 위한 가설 리프트 공간구획 최적화 모델 개발

As the high-rise building projects are increasing, lifting management is a critical factor for construction productivity. Existing researches on lift management are mostly focused on developing optimum lift plans applicable to high-rise building. Meanwhile, it is difficult to estimate lifting traffic load due to influence of operational conditions on construction process. This research aims to reduce workers’ transportation time in the morning using temporary vertical zoning of construction lift. To identify the lifting operation, this paper presents a model including three modules: passenger, zoning, optimization modules. First, each floor’s population is calculated through a resource-driven schedule data. Then, the passenger module is involved in grouping of passengers for feasible crew work. Third, the zoning module generates the alternatives of zoning area where a certain lift is constrained to serve a designated set of floors(service floor). Finally, identification of optimal zoning area can be achieved with the optimization module using the genetic algorithm. An application of a diverse set of scenarios is demonstrated to compare zoning alternative using a complex traffic simulation. This proves that the proposed model has capabilities in optimizing zoning area and enhancing life efficiency.

Recently, water birth - labor and/or delivery under warm water - is acceptable and natural to many foreign countries as a method of gentle birth. Although some limitations after water birth were reported, a recent international conference explored many of the issuses and indicated the potential scale and the advantages for its inclusion among the options for labor and delivery under water. We experienced a case of water birth who underwent labor and delivery under water. She delivered normal healthy female baby without conventional episiotomy. No obstetrical ans fetal complications were observed during entire procedure of water birth. So, we report this case with brief review of the literatures.
