X-선 측정 및 영상장치를 포함한 다양한 응용분야에서 방사선에 대한 고해상도의 영상을 얻기 위한 목적으로 반도체 검출기에 대한 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 방사선 검출을 위해 요구되는 반도체 물질의 주요 특성에 대해서 조사하였다. 또한 반도체를 이용한 플랫 패널(flat panel) 시스템, 픽셀 디텍터(pixel detector)와 스트립 디텍터(strip detector) 등의 혼성형 디텍터(hybrid detector), MAPS와 DEPFET 등의 단일형 픽셀 디텍터(monolithic pixel detector)의 디바이스 동작 원리 및 특성과 국내외 기술 동향에 대하여 살펴보았다.
저농도의 HPC 영역에서 에멀젼법에 의해 제조된 구형 알루미나 분말의 입자 크기 변화

Spherical alumina gel powders were produced by hydrolysis of aluminum sec-butoxide (Al(sec-OC4H9)3) in a n-octanol/acetonitrile mixed solvent. The enlargement of particle size was induced by increasing HPC (hydroypropylcellulose) concentration (0.005, 0.1, and 0.05 g/ι) and emulsion-state aging time (10 min and 360 min). Mean particle sizes of dried alumina gel powders increased from 1.4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 3.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at 10-min emulsion-state aging time and from 1.9${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 4.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at 360-min emulsion-state aging time as HPC concentration increased from 0.005 g/ι to 0.05 g/ι. At the same HPC concentration, particle size of dried alumina gel powder increased with increasing of emulsion-state aging time from 10 min to 360 min. The increase in the average particle size of dried alumina gel powder with increase in HPC concentration was interpreted as the enlargement of particles from alkoxide emulsions unprotected by HPC. The produced dried gel powder calcined at 115$0^{\circ}C$ for one hour transformed to $\alpha$-alumina.

Several industrial applications such as space exploration, aerospace, automotive, the downhole oil and gas industry, and geothermal power plants require specific electronic systems under extremely high temperatures. For the majority of such applications, silicon-based technologies (bulk silicon, silicon-on-insulator) are limited by their maximum operating temperature. Silicon carbide (SiC) has been recognized as one of the prime candidates for providing the desired semiconductor in extremely high-temperature applications. In addition, it has become particularly interesting owing to a Si-compatible process technology for dedicated devices and integrated circuits. This paper briefly introduces a variety of SiC-based integrated circuits for use under extremely high temperatures and covers the technology trend of SiC CMOS devices and processes including the useful implementation of SiC ICs.

A post operatively study of 15 cases with diagnosed protrusion of lumbar discs was made results were as follows; 1. Backache has been 14 cases in the recurrents. 2. Root pain has been 13 cases in the recurrents. 3. Days function of nerve root has been 7 cases in the recurrents. 4. Lumbar myelographical defect were visible 11 cases in the recurrents. 5. Marrowing of disc space were visible all cases. 6. Effect of re-operative cases were; excellent 3 cases, good 6 cases and poor 2 cases.

An unusual form of dysraphism is the longitudinal division of the spinal cord for a limited length. There is difference of opinion as to whether the condition represents imperfect duplication of the cord, or a separation. It is commonest in the lumbar region. Herren and Edwards (1940) collected 42 cases of diplomyelia. We present a case of diastematomyelia, treated in this hospital with the review of the literature.
