본 연구는 역시문화지도 제작을 목적으로 섬진강 유역권을 중심으로 한 생태 환경분야에 대한조사와 분석을 실시한 결과이다. 섬진강 유역권 10개 지역(보성, 고흥, 순천, 구례, 여수, 남원, 곡성, 광양, 하동, 냥해)의 생태환경을 분류 기준표에 의해 조사하여 화석 9개소, 지질 및 지형 116개소, 동식물 56개소, 생태습지 38개소 그리고 기타 부문 2개소로 구분하였다. 이렇게 조사 분석된 221개소의 생태환경은 지질 및 지형을 중심으로 고환경과의 관계를 분석하여 고환경과 현 생태를 관련짓는 연계를 파악하는데 큰 역할을 할 것이다. 또한 이처럼 데이터베이스화된 섬진강 유역권 생태환경 자료는 전자 지도화하여 학문적, 교육적 및 문화관광적 자료로 유용하게 활용될 것이다. Environmental surveys and investigations were conducted in the several areas drained by Seomjin River in order to produce a local historical culture map. 10 regional areas (Boseong, Goheung, Suncheon, Gurye, Yeosu, Narnwon, Gokseong, Gwangyang, Hadong and Namhae) associated with the river were surveyed and investigated on the basis of standard categorization forms and, then, as a result - 9 fossil, 116 geological / geographical, 56 animal/plant, 38 wetland, and 2 miscellaneous sites were classified in the areas. Analyzing the categorization of the geological/geographical and ecological features of the above 22 J sites, we could be able to provide meaningful insights which are related the paleoenvironments with the current ecological properties of the areas. Those electronically mapped databases of the ecological/environmental properties obtained from the Seomjin River drainage area would be used for valuable academic, educational and cultural touring data.

전남동부연안권 및 섬진강유역권의 지질관광 (Geotourism) 가능성 고찰

전남동부연안권 및 섬진강유역권의 생태환경을 중심으로, 2차년도 동안 섬진강 본류와 지류가 관류하는 10개 시군을 대상으로 지질관광(Geotourism)의 가능성을 고찰하였다. 1차년도(2008년 7월 ~ 2009년 6월)에는 고흥, 순천, 구례, 여수 등 총 5개 지역에 걸쳐 현장조사를 실시하였고, 2차년도(2009년 7월 ~ 2010년 6월)에는 남원, 곡성, 광양, 하동, 남해에 이르기까지 12개월에 걸쳐 조사 하였다. 조사가 미진한 지역에 대해서는 2개월 동안 보완조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 해남 등 4개 공룡화석지도 지오사이트 가능성을 추가하였다. 지질관광이 이루어지기 위해서는 전남동부연안권 및 섬진강유역권에 대한 풍부한 지질학적 자료와 타 지역과의 연계성, 그리고 타 분야와의 연계성 등 많은 자료와 연구가 뒷받침 되어야 한다. 이러한 조사 결과를 토대로, 각각의 지오사이트의 지질유산 및 문화재를 선정하여 지질관광으로의 가능성을 고찰해보고, 역사문화지도와의 연계성을 확보하여 관광객이하 전 국민들이 보다 쉽고 편리하게 지질관광을 이용할 수 있도록 조성할 것이다. Validities of Geotourism to ten cities and counties which main and branched streams of Seomjin River run were considered for the ecosystematic scope to the areas around eastern Jeonnam coast and the river during twelve months. In first year, field surveys for 5 areas of Goheung, Suncheon, Gurye and Yeosu were carried out, and, next year, the surveys for another 5 areas of Namweon, Gokseong, Gwangyang, Hadong and Namhae were performed. And, 4 dinosaur fossil sites including Haenam area were considered in the the aspect of Geotourism. For areas necessary to added surveys, two month surveys were carried out. For appropriate Geotourism, it should be prepared a lot of data and studies including the geology of above areas and interrelationships to other areas. From above results, It should organizes that most people, easily, come into close and use those geological and cultural sites as useful Geosites, on the basis of the consideration on Geotourism and interrelationship with historical and cultural map.
