임상가검물에서 분리된 Enterococcus의 균종동정과 항균제 감수성

The species identities and antimicrobial susceptibility of Enterococcus isolated during November 1991 to April 1992 at some medical college hospital in Seoul were determined. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Among the 204 isolates 62.8 % (128 strains) were isolated from urine, 17.6 % (36 strains) wound infection, 6.8 % (14 strains) bile and 3.9 % (8 strains) genital tract. 2. Enterococcus species were isolated 66.2 % (135 strains) of E. faecalis, 22.0 % (45 strains) of E. faecium and 2.5 % (5 strains) of E. durans, but 9.3 % (19 strains) were unidentified species. 3. 204 strains of Enterococcus were all susceptible for vancomycin, also E faecalis and unidentified Enterococcus were moderately susceptible more than 80 % to cephalothin, penicillin G and ampicillin, while E. faecium were resistant pattern to amplicillin. 4. Gentamicin and oxacillin were resistant more than 90 % among Enterococcus species.

This study was performed to determine the correlationships among items of water quality and to analize the external effects in the Han River. Water quality for analysis were the daily mean values of dissolved oxygen, water temperature, conductivity, pH, turbidity, and water discharge checked at Noryang-Jin and Duk-Do in the Han River from January 1 to December 31, 1976. Air temperature and rain fall data were obtained from the Central Meteorological Office. The results of correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis are summarized as follows. 1. Water temperature and conductivity showed significant negative correlationship with dissolved oxygen, with correlation coefficient of -0.878, and -0.627 respectively. 2. Multiple regression equation for estimate of dissolved oxygen is as follows; DO=-3.0675-0.2251W.T. -0.0232C.T.+2.3349pH 3. Water temperature seems to have high correlationship with other water qualities. 4. Correlation coefficient of water discharge and turbidity was high(r=0.746), but those of other items, and turbidity showed extremely low. 5. The difference of water qualities between Noryang-Jin and Duk-Do in the Han River, is as follows; Variations of dissolved oxygen and water temperature were dominantly affected by air temperature, while pH and turbidity were influenced by other facters.

371 Gram-negative bacilli, lactose fermenters and non-lactose fermenters as well, isolated and identified at Korea University Hospital from January 1, 1979 to June 30, 1979 had been compared its susceptibility to amikacin, new aminoglycoside, with other widely used antibiotics; kanamycin, gentamicin and tobramycin. Amikacin proved its efficacy over other antibiotcs tested showing susceptibilities of 94.7%, 94.6%, 91.7% and 45.5% to Proteus rettgeri, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus morganii and Serratia marcescens, respectively. Amikacin was also revealed as the most effective anti-microbial agent in overall susceptibility testing against the isolates with seusitivity of 87.6% followed by gentamicin, 68.6%, tobramycin, 50.9%, and kanamycin, 47.4%.
