        국내 목재산업의 국가경제 기여도와 성장요인 분해 분석

        For the sustainable development of the wood industry, this study examines the impact of the wood industry on the national economy. It identifies factors that promote the growth of the sector. The wood industry consists of 17 wood-related industries from the classification of the input-output table. The result shows that the contribution of the wood industry to the national economy is estimated to be 32,253.6 billion won and 2,486.5 billion won based on the amount of output and value-added, respectively, as of 2018. In other words, even though the self-sufficiency rate of raw materials is less than 20%, the wood industry has a tremendous impact on the national economy. Moreover, the decomposition of the growth rate shows that the main factor in the growth of the wood industry is the effect of expanding final domestic demand. The factors that hindered the growth are the effect of substituting intermediate goods imports and the impact of technological change. The result implies that the expansion of the final demand of the domestic wood industry has a positive effect on the shift in domestic output. On the other hand, the dependence on raw material imports and the stagnation of technological development harm the growth of the wood industry.

        불가사리 단백추출물이 Cytochrome P450 1A1과 Ornithine Decarboxylase 활성에 미치는 영향

        The effect of protein extract from Asterina pectinifera on proliferation of human breast cancer cells and activities of cytochrome P450 1A1 and ornithine decarboxylase was tested. Protein extract from Asterina pectinifera inhibited the growth of both estrogen-dependent MCF-7 and estrogen-independent MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells. Cytochrome P450 1A1 activity was significantly inhibited by the protein extract from Asterina pectinifera at concentrations of 80 (p<0.05), 120 (p<0.01) and $160{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ (p<0.01). The extract inhibited induction of ornithine decarboxylase by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate, a key enzyme of polyamine biosynthesis, which is enhanced in breast tumor promotion. Therefore, Asterina pectinifera is worth further investigation with respect to breast cancer chemoprevention or therapy. 별불가사리 단백추출물을 조제하여 유방암 유발억제효과를 측정한 결과, 별불가사리 단백추출물은 estrogen-의존성의 유방암세포(MCF-7)와 estrogen-비의존성 유방암세포(MDA-MB-231)의 증식을 농도의존적으로 억제하는 효과가 있었으며, 유방암발생 발암물질 활성에 관여하는 cytochrome P450 1A1 활성도 저해하였다. 또한 유방암발생의 촉진단계에 주요한 기능을 가진 ODC 활성도 억제하였으므로 별불가사리 단백추출물은 유방암 발생을 저해할 것으로 기대된다.

        Thyroglobulin에 대한 단일클론항체의 제작 및 특성

        Thyroglobulin과 반응하는 monoclonal antibody를 3클론(TN-1, TN-2 및 TN-3)을 확립하였다. 이들 중 1클론 (TN-2)은 thyroglobulin의 3차원적인 구조를 인식하면서 음전하를 띠는 자가항원의 일종인 phosphatidylserine과도 교차반응성을 나타내었다. 따라서 TN-2를 이용한 자가면역성 갑상선염의 진단 및 치료에의 적용효과가 기대된다. Twelve clones of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against thyroglobulin were produced and characterized. Among them, three mAbs (TN-1, TN-2 and TN-3) showed high binding affinity to thyroglobulin. from ELISA inhibition assay, TN-2 showed considerable reactivity with soluble thyroglobulin. TN-2 also reacted with phosphatidylserine which has a negative charge in aqueous condition. These results suggest that TN-2 has characteristics of autoantibody concerned with thyroiditis.

        플라즈마 전해 산화법에 의한 Al-1050 표면상의 산화막 제조에 미치는 전기적 변수의 영향

        Oxide layers were prepared by an environmentally friendly plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) process on an Al-1050 substrate. The electrolyte for PEO was an alkali-based solution with Na2SiO3 (8 g/L) and NaOH (3 g/L). The influence of the electrical parameters on the phase composition, microstructure and properties of the oxide layers formed by PEO were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The voltage-time responses were recorded during various PEO processes. The oxides are composed of two layers and are mainly made of α-alumina, γ-alumina and mullite phases. The proportion of each phase depends on various electrical parameters. It was found that the surface of the oxides produced at a higher current density and Ia/Ic ratio shows a more homogeneous morphology than those produced with the electrical parameters of a lower current density and lower Ia/Ic ratio. Also, the oxide layers formed at a higher current density and higher Ia/Ic ratio show high micro-hardness levels.

      • Phospholipase A₂에 대한 단일클론 항체 제작 및 그 응용 (II) : 발열환자의 뇨에서 Phospholipase A₂의 정제 Purification of Phospholipase A₂in Febrile Patients Urine

        In the previous report [Nam, K.S. (1996) Korean, J. Immunol. 18: 95], the antibody, designated NP-1, which simultaneously recognized venom Crotalus atrox and human pleural PLAZ was produced and characterized. NP-i was purified and conjugated with CNBr activated Sepharose 4B. NP-1 binding protein in febrile patients urine was effectively purified with affinity column chromatography. The molecular weight of this protein showed about 53Kd. As the result of Western blotting method, it was identified that the 53Kd protein had high binding affinity with NP-1. Furthermore, each eluted fractions of antibody affinity column highly hydrolyzed 1-stearoyl-2-[1-'4C]-arachidonyl sn-glycerophosphocholine as a substrate. The results may suggest that this urinary protein is a urinary extracellular PLA2 in febrile patients urine.

        GAP 인증 기준 개편에 따른 사회후생 변화 추정

        This study analyzes social welfare changes as a result of improving the GAP certification standards by taking into consideration both the consumer and producer sides of agricultural products. In the analysis, we set hypotheses for improving the GAP certification standards in three directions, including promoting consumption, pursuing internationalization, and accelerating popularization. Also, we calculated social welfare changes following each scenario of the improvement of GAP certification standards. Our analysis shows that social welfare associated with all agricultural products is likely to increase along with enhanced GAP certification standards. 본 연구에서는 소비자 측면과 생산자 측면을 동시에 고려하여 GAP 인증 기준 개편 시나리오를 보급활성화, 소비촉진, 국제화 추구 등으로 설정하였다. 각 개편 방향 시나리오에 따라 식량작물, 과일류, 과채류, 채소류로 구분하여 GAP 인증기준 개편에 따른 사회후생 변화를 분석한 결과, 식량작물에 대한 GAP 인증 개편은 대부분의 사나리오에서 사회후생이 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나, 보급 활성화로 인한 사회후생증가는 크지 않았다. 과채류, 채소류 그리고 과일류는 소비 촉진 또는 국제화 추구와 같이 인증 기준을 강화하는 것이 사회후생을 증가시키는 방향인 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 분석 결과는 중장기적으로 GAP 인증 기준을 강화하여 소비자의 신뢰를 확보하는 것이 GAP 인증제도 활성화의 바람직한 방향이라는 점을 시사한다.

        키토산 올리고당이 유방암세포 증식, aromatase 활성 및 nitric oxide 생성에 미치는 영향

        The effect of chitosan oligosaccharides (COS, 1,000 <Mw < 3,000) on the proliferation of human breast cancer cells, aromatase activity, and nitric oxide production was tested. COS inhibited the growth of both estrogen-dependent MCF-7 and estrogenindependent MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells. COS at the concentrations of 1 and 5 mg/mL showed 24.0 and 30.0% inhibition of aromatase activity in MCF-7 cells, respectively. Nitric oxide (NO) production in MDA-MB-231 cells was significantly reduced by COS at the concentrations of 0.5, 1.0 and 5.0 mg/mL. Therefore, COS is worth further investigation with respect to breast cancer chemoprevention or therapy.
