In this paper, the effect of heat treatment on forgeability is investigated and an improved heat treatment cycle is proposed for the bearing steel, SUJ2. An application example of a bearing inner race cold forging , which has small cracks in the bottom after backward extrusion and piercing, is found from a cold forging industry. The process is evaluated by finite element analysis and several heat treatment cycles are examined in order to propose an improved heat treatment cycle. The effect of heat treatment on material hardness and tool life, dimensional accuracy and forming load is revealed through experiment
Polyjet방식 3D 프린터를 이용한 스트레이트 베벨기어의 제작 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

Recently, 3D printer technologies have been used in many research efforts for high precision manufacturing. In particular, the rapid prototyping technology has been developing rapidly, because it can be manufactured in a short time with a 3D designed shape. This paper relates to the production characteristics of the straight bevel gear designed using a 3D print using the PolyJet method. The characteristics of a 3D printed straight bevel gear were compared with a machined straight bevel gear. The accuracy of the produced straight bevel gear was evaluated by backlash, meshing pattern, face angle, root angle, and surface roughness.
AIP-TiN 코팅에서 증착시간이 SKH51과 SKD11 강의 표면특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 비교 연구

In this paper, the surface characteristics of the AIP-TiN coated of the SKH51 and SKD11 steels under various deposition times are presented with emphasis on the comparison of the two materials. The micro-particle, the surface roughness, the micro-hardness, the coated layer thickness, the atomic distribution of Ti, N and Fe elements and the adhesion are measured for various deposition times. It has been shown that the micro-particle, the surface roughness, the coated layer thickness and the atomic distribution of Ti, N and Fe elements are similar for the two cases regardless of the test deposition time from 10 to 180 minutes. However, it has been shown that the micro-hardness and the adhesion of the SKH51 steel are higher than the SKD11 steel, indicating that they are much affected by the hardness of the material to be coated.
3D 프린팅에서 자동차용 Inner ring의 내부밀도에 따른 치수 특성

Reverse engineering involves duplicating a physical part by measuring and analyzing its physical dimensions, features, and material properties. By combining reverse engineering with three-dimensional (3D) printing, engineers can simply fabricate and evaluate functional prototypes. This design methodology has been attracting increasing interest with the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the present study, we apply reverse engineering and 3D printing technologies to evaluate a fabricated automotive inner ring prototype. Through 3D printing, inner rings of various densities were prepared. Their physical dimensions were measured with a 3D scanning system. Of our interest was the effect of inner ring density on the physical dimensions of the fabricated prototype. We compared the design dimensions and physical dimensions of the fabricated prototypes. The results revealed that even the 20% density of inner ring was effective for 3D printing in terms of satisfying the design requirements.
축류형 이중 블레이드 팬의 공기 유동 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

To ventilate indoor spaces, axial single-blade fans are widely used in various areas, such as schools, houses, offices, and restaurants. Recently, axial single-blade fans were developed to realize energy efficiency and noise reduction improvements. Here, an experimental study of the air flow characteristics of an axial dual-blade fan is conducted. The characteristics of the axial dual-blade fan were tested via an air flow analysis and with prototypes. For the performance of the fan, the flow rate, power consumption, and noise were evaluated. The result showed that the axial dual-blade fan uses less power and produces less noise in comparison with an axial single-blade fan.

This paper describes the fuel oil characteristics of mulching waste vinyl by indirect heating emulsion system. For the emulsion experiment of waste vinyl, the system is composed of melting furnace, the 1th pyrolysis furnace, and the 2nd pyrolysis furnace. The mulching waste vinyl is used for the fuel oil characteristics analysis of mulching waste vinyl. The refined oil, gasoline, and diesel oil are extracted and quantified to analysis the fuel oil characteristics. From the results of experiments, it has been shown that the production of fuel oil from mulching waste vinyl is possible using the emulsion system.

The characteristic evaluation of an aluminium filler tube for automotive is presented in this paper. The material of filler tube was used AL3003 aluminium. In characteristic evaluation of an aluminium filler, we measured the corrosion, chemical resistance, weight, leak, welding strength, exciting endurance, and the solt spray test etc.. It has been shown that the weight decreased approximately 61% in aluminum filler tube developed comparing with steel filler tube. As the characteristic evaluation on the manufactured aluminium filler it was enough satisfied to use at the automotive filler tube.
AIP법에서 증착시간이 SM45C 강의 TiN 코팅층 성질에 미치는 영향

The effect of deposition time in arc ion plating on surface properties of the TiN-coated SM45C steel is presented in this paper. The surface roughness, micro-particle, micro-hardness, coated thickness, atomic distribution of TiN, and adhesion strength are measured for various deposition times. It has been shown that the deposition time has a considerable effect on the micro-hardness, the coated thickness, and the atomic distribution of TiN of the SM45C steels but that it has little influence on the surface roughness and adhesion strength.
수송기기 유압 실린더 블록 재료의 Fe-Cu 계면반응 특성

Generally, a hydraulic cylinder block which is one of a vehicle parts that plays Important role in excavator power transmission, has copper alloy separation phenomenon by sliding motion between metals in high pressure condition. In this paper, to solve this problem, the interfacial reaction layer of Fe-Cu With SCM440 and copper alloy is studied through the melting method. As the result of this study, it is found that the interfacial reaction layer of $1{\mu}m$ created in the interface of Fe-Cu which has very strong physical bonding. It has been also confirmed that the melting method can improve life of the hydraulic cylinder block.
