내한, 내열성이 우수한 실리콘 고분자를 합성하기 위하여 페닐기를 도입한 1,1-diphenyl-1-methyl-7-hydroxydodecamethylheptasiloxysilane을 합성하고 이의 물성을 연구하였다. 100∼800℃의 범위에서 TGA 분석을 시행한 결과 일반 polydimethylsiloxane에 비해 열적성질이 우수하였으며, -50∼-10℃ 범위에서 내한성을 측정한 결과 유동성을 유지하였다. 또한 실리콘 고무에 합성한 실리콘 고분자를 첨가한 결과 기계적 성질이 향상되었다. The phenyl modified silicone polymer, 1,1-diphenyl-l-methyl-7-hydroxydodecamethylheptasiloxysilane, was synthesized to prepare the silicone polymer with good cold-proof and heat-proof properties. From the TGA analysis in the range of 100∼800℃, the phenyl modified silicone polymer had good thermal properties than polydimethylsiloxane. And furthermore fluidity was maintained even below 0℃. Also, the silicone rubber blended with the phenyl modified silicone polymer had better mechanical properties than the silicone rubber.

he preparation of resorcinol/formaldehyde (R/F) gel particles by means of the solemulsion-gel technique has been studied. The particle sizes were controlled by the composition of the system and the emulsification conditions-the agitation rate, the shape of agitator, the contents and type of surfactant and the type of oil. Spherical morphology of the gel particles were confirmed by optical microscopy. The sizes of these particles ranged from submicrometer to a few hundred micrometers.
