        How Can You Catch the Flight?: ‘catch’와 ‘잡다’의 의미지도

        This study is to compare the English verb ‘catch’ and its Korean counterpart ‘capta’ in the framework of Lexical Typology (François 2008). It presents the semantic network of the two verbs based on functional properties of each sense and empirical observations, showing their semantic maps: i) ‘catch’ colexifies all the senses belonging to {chase and capture}, {reach in time}, and {capture rapidly}; ii) ‘capta’ colexifies all the senses belonging to {seize with hands}, {make easy use of}, {fix}, and {control}; and iii) {chase and capture} and {seize with hands} share the senses such as <stop> and <arrest>, which make the two verbs look similar in their colexifications. This study also argues that {chase and capture} and {seize with hands} are the prototypical meanings of ‘catch’ and ‘capta’ respectively, suggesting that the prototypical meanings play a key role in answering questions such as the following: i) Why we cannot catch the plane in Korean; and ii) why ‘to catch the virus’ has two distinct interpretations depending on the languages involved.

        국문장편소설과 로맨스 웹소설의 유사성

        이 연구는 국문장편소설과 로맨스 웹소설의 서사 문법상 몇 가지 유사성을 확인하여, 국문장편소설의 현대적 활용 및 대중화의 단초를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그러기 위해 국문장편소설과 로맨스 웹소설의 서사 내적인 부분과 서사 외적인 부분으로 나누어 그 유사성을 검토하였다. 우선 사건 진행의 측면에서 ‘혼인’을 중심에 두는 점이 유사함을 밝혔다. 고소설의 대부분이 ‘혼인’을 다루고 있으나 국문장편소설만큼 혼인을 그 중심 주지에 두고 다양한 서사를 복합적으로 전개하는 경우는 찾기 어렵다. 따라서 혼인을 중심으로 전개되는 서사 전개의 유사성은 매우 중요한 척도이다. 다음으로, 외적으로든 내적으로든 완벽함을 갖춘 이상적 인물을 설정한다는 것이 유사하다. 재벌가 혹은 벌열가를 주요한 배경으로 설정한다는 점에서도 유사성을 확인할 수 있다. 비록 시대적 차이에 따라 재벌가의 활용 양상은 다르지만, 배경으로 전경화 되어 있다는 점에서 그 공통점을 찾을 수 있다. 서사 외적으로는 연작성을 지닌 창작 방식을 갖는다는 점, 여성 중심의 향유물이라는 점에서 유사성을 찾을 수 있었다. 한편, 현대의 출판 환경은 ‘웹’을 기반으로 많은 콘텐츠를 생산하고 있으며 그 중 웹소설은 OSMU의 원천으로 기능하고 있다. 달리 말해, 웹소설을 웹툰으로 제작하는 것은 일종의 트렌드가 되고 있으며 드라마나 영화와 같은 콘텐츠로 재생산하는 양상은 보편적이다. 따라서 국문장편소설과 로맨스 웹소설의 유사성은 국문장편소설의 웹소설화 가능성을 증명하는 한 근거가 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국문장편소설의 현대적 활용 및 대중화 전략의 단초를 로맨스 웹소설에서 찾을 수 있음을 확인하였다. This research aims to identify certain similarities in the narrative structure between Korean Full-length novels and romance web novels, with the purpose of proposing a methodology for the modern utilization and popularization of Korean full-length novels. To achieve this, the narrative elements of Korean Full-length novels and romance web novels were divided into internal and external aspects for examination of their similarities. Firstly, it was highlighted that both genres share a similarity in focusing on the theme of ‘marriage’ in the progression of events. While a significant portion of classical novels deals with ‘marriage,’ it is challenging to find cases in Korean short novels where ‘marriage’ is placed at the center, driving diverse and complex narratives. Therefore, the similarity in narrative development centered around ‘marriage’ is considered a crucial measure. Additionally, setting up an idealized character with perfection in both internal and external aspects is a commonality between the two genres. Particularly, the detailed portrayal of the character’s internal and external facets shows a high degree of similarity between the two types. The use of Jaebeol or wealthy families as a major background is another shared aspect. Although the utilization of chaebol in Korean short novels may differ from setting wealthy families in romance web novels, the commonality lies in the foregrounding of these backgrounds. Externally, the research found similarity in the use of a serialized creative approach and the appeal to a female audience as a niche consumer group. Korean short novels are characterized by their serialized nature, while romance web novels also feature ‘series’ In conclusion, Korean short novels exhibit a high degree of similarity in narrative structure, both internally and externally, with romance web novels. Consequently, it is confirmed that the narrative grammar of romance web novels can be utilized as a strategy for the modern utilization and popularization of Korean full-lngth novels.

        <유이양문록>에 나타난 몽유양식의 수용 양상과 그 의미

        The aim of this thesis is to identify the literary value of Yuiyangmunrok with the dream mode in Yuiyangmunrok. On the basis of an existing theory regarding the submode of the dream mode as Mongyurok and Mongja novel, I confirmed that the narrative grammars by Yu pilyeum and Lee yeongi had embraced Mongyurok and the narrative grammars by Lee monghye and Jang gyeseong had embraced Mongja novel. In the narrative grammars by Yu pilyeum and Lee yeongi, there are the parts representing the character of ‘meetings,’ which are the indicator to distinguish Mongyurok. The ‘meetings’ correspond with ‘Entrance & Sitting - Debate - Calming’ or ‘Start of the feast - Performance - Arrangement.’Mongyurok in Yuiyangmunrok plays a role to arrange Geumgangsan line by Lee yeongi. Lee yeongi was destined to die since his lifespan shortened. However his lifespan was longer after the heaven experience. The reason why his life was longer was the virtue of his wife, Yu pilyeum. Then Lee yeongi had expiated offenses for ten years in Geumgangsan, and the stories happening in Geumgangsan had the power deriving another stories. Mongyurok is the ideal-oriented mode indicating ideology and contradiction of the real world. The writer considered Mongyurok the medium of indicating ideology and used it to express the family consciousness. Mongja novel is embraced in the narrative grammars by Lee monghye and Jang gyeseong. Its representative works are Guwoonmong and Okrumong. Mongja novel has many characters of distinct individuality and the conflicts between them. These conflicts not only arouse interest but increase the quantity. In this respect the narrative grammars by Lee monghye and Jang gyeseong which embraced Mongja novel attract interest with the conflicts and solutions of conflict and reveal the trend to be long works. So the narrative grammar has independence. Also this narrative grammar makes Yuiyangmunrok be a long work - 77 books in 77 volumes. I confirmed that the writer tried to express the family consciousness using Mongyurok seriously, pursued the interests and secured the quantity of the book using Mongja novel. 본고는 <유이양문록>에 나타난 몽유양식을 통해서 <유이양문록>의 작품성을 규명하고자 하였다. 몽유록은 이념과 현실세계의 모순을 드러내는 이념지향적인 특성을 지닌 반면 몽자소설은 이념과 현실세계의 통합을 총체적으로 보여주는 특성을 지닌다. 전자는 가문의 성립기에 해당하는 유필염과 이연기의 단위담에서 나타나고, 후자는 가문의 성장 및 완성기에 해당하는 이몽혜와 장계성의 단위담에서 나타난다. 몽유록은 가문 수립과 관련된 이념상을 형상화하기에 적절하고, 몽자소설은 가문이 성장한 후 가문 내에서 벌어질 수 있는 여러 일들을 형상화하기에 적절하기 때문에 이들을 수용한 것으로 보인다. 한편 <유이양문록>에 나타난 몽유양식은 등장인물들의 천상성을 드러내는 기능을 한다는 점에서 공통되지만, 몽유록은 단위담과 단위담의 연결을 시도하는 부분에 수용되었으며, 몽자소설은 단위담 자체의 독립성을 부여할 수 있도록 수용되었다. 또한 주제적인 측면에서 몽유록의 수용은 여성의 덕행에 대한 강조를, 몽자소설의 수용은 여성의 능력에 대한 강조를 하면서 가문의 안정과 유지에서 여성의 역할이 중요하다는 가문의식을 드러낸다.

        主要 眺望點에서 바라본 港灣景觀의 注視特性에 관한 硏究

        It is necessary to research for environmental features of regions rather than each building and scenery to form desirable city landscape that describes placeness concretely. In case of Korea, vast harbors and industry complex are generally located in the waterfront of port cities because the waterfront is noticed as one factor which supplies a fresh ground. So, waterfront forms a wide and long blackout curtain that causes the destruction of nature, shapes a factory structure curtain, and completely covers hinterland landscape. It makes hard for citizens to access to the seaside, depriving capacity of waterfront for water-familiar, and destructing beautiful seashore environment. This research project is to provide those architects or planners with the design guidelines of improving port and hinterland landscape. To do so, this study is carried out the physiological evaluation making eye fixation behaviors. The main results were summarized as follows: 1) Satisfaction with the ports' scenery turned out being given high estimation according as the objections being seen is more natural, a scale of ports' landscape elements is larger, and shape of landscape elements are simpler. 2) Distribution of a visual point is concentrated on facilities that have unique shapes and is under the influence of seashore line, letters carved in buildings and conspicuous colors. In addition, it tends to gather a visual point that facility's movement would be expected. 3) Eye fixation behaviors stops at unique shapes, structural lines of the physical elements and color factors of the objects. And it was judged that human recognized the object through this. 4) Scenery that include large natural element has a flexible movement of view and make general populace see the object for more long time. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the vista point on view-distance with research on improving port's naturality.
