      • 道德性 發達의 過程에 관한 硏究 : 認知的 道德發達 理論을 中心으로

        This study aimed to examine some of the approaches and theories of moral development, to clarify the viewpoints and implications of the cognitive-developmental theory to moral education, and to analyze the related variables in development of the level of judgmental morality through precedent empirical research. Piaget analyzed children's verbal attitudes toward game rules and explored many aspects of children's notions of justice. He identified two broad stages of development (heteronomous stage and autonomous stage) and he finded the pattern of cognitive organization in each stage. Kohlberg, whose research has complemented as well as expanded on that of Piaget, defined moral development as the progressive movement of moral judgment stages. He identified six stages, two stage occurring at three distinct levels, and asserted an invariant sequence in six stages. A successful practical approach to moral development will be based on the educational implications of the following qualities of stage theory; First, the stages are invariant. This is an important face for designing educational programs suitable to the stage of development. Second, development can terminate at any stage. Therefore the educator's role is to create conditions that stimulate higher levels of reasoning and experience cognitive conflict. Third, a individual can be attracted to reasoning one stage higher than his predominant stage. This accounts in part for the effectiveness of moral discussion groups where participants at various stages of development discuss dilemmas together. Forth, development is not governed by age. If the factors influencing development are the social environment, cognitive development, and empathy, then education programs should focus on modifying those environmental and personal factors: role taking, democratic participation.

        Antioxidant effects and reaction volatiles from heated mixture of soy protein hydrolysates and coconut oil

        Soy protein hydrolysates (SPHs) are prepared from soybean meal using commercially available protease enzymes and acid/alkali treatment. The antioxidant properties of SPHs were evaluated by measuring headspace oxygen consumption and conjugated diene formation in oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. In addition, volatile profiles were analyzed for the heated mixture of SPHs and the coconut oil (SPHCO). Total amino acid content was the highest in double proteases. SPHs prepared from enzymes acted as better antioxidants than those prepared from acid/alkali treatments in O/W emulsions. SPHs prepared from double proteases generated the highest amounts of total volatiles and nitrogen-containing compounds in SPHCO. 2,3-Dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one, 2-methyl-butanal, benzeneacetaldehyde, and 2,6-dimethylpyrazine were the major volatiles in SPHCO. Enzymatic SPHs act as natural antioxidants in the O/W emulsion matrix, and thermal reaction products from SPHCO may contribute to the production of a unique volatile flavor in plant protein-based foods.

        Reliability and Validity of Patient Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM) Korean Version

        Objectives: We developed a Korean translation of this questionnaire by sequential forward-and-backward translation. The purpose of this study is to validate the Korean version of the POEM, the “POEM-K” by Korean patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). Methods: A single-center prospective study was conducted with 50 participants diagnosed with AD. The POEM was translated to Korean version by an expert panel. Scoring Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) and Short Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) were used as external comparators. Results: Twenty men and thirty women between the ages of 18 and 63 participated in the study. The test-retest reliability of the total POEM-K was estimated using the intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) that showed a strong agreement (ICC = 0.72). By using Pearson correlation coefficients, we compared the POEM-K to SCORAD and yielded a concurrent validity that showed a significant result. The responsiveness of the POEM-K was represented by the effect size (ES) of 1.41 and statistically significant (p = 0.004). Conclusions: The Korean version of the POEM is a reliable, valid, and responsive disease-specific questionnaire for assessing the symptoms and quality of life of Korean patients with AD.

      • 동서양의 도덕원리에 대한 비교 연구

        This study is aimed to suggest the appropriate way of using the oriental and occidental moral principles, 'In' (仁, benevolence) from Confucianism and justice from rationalism respectively, by clarifying the true meanings, similarities and differences, and confrontation and compensation. The important findings are as follows. In Confucianism, the principle of 'In' is described as an ontological principle of personality which stresses the altruistic love and self-actualization to restore the human nature. On the other hand, Kohlberg characterizes the principle of justice as the principle of social interaction, which can be a universal rule of selection to solve the conflicts between human rights. When comparing contributions of the two moral principles, while the Confucian principle of 'In' has its significance in spiritual human nature by defining it as humanistic and cosmological moral principle, the deontological principle of justice has the practical value to provide reasonable solutions of impartial division. In generalizing their relations, both principles should be mutually compensated and synthesized, and they should be progressed on the basis of humanistic ethics which take a serious view of personal value and the pragmatic rationality of thought to solve conflict should be added.

        동해와 서해의 살오징어(Todarodes pacificus) 회유 및 분포에 관한 고찰

        본 리뷰는 한국의 중요한 수산자원인 살오징어(Todarodes pacificus)의 동해와 서해 어획량 변동 원인을 살오징어 난/자치어 수송부터 회유경로 및 어장 분포에 관점으로 논의하였다. 우리나라 살오징어 어획량은 1980년 이후 기후체제전환에 따라 변화가 있어 왔으며 이는 동해와 서해의 어획량 변동 경향이 달랐다. PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation)는 동해로 유입되는 난류 수송량과 음의 상관관계가 있는데 PDO가 양의 위상이었던 1980s에는 서해에서는 어획량이 많았고 동해에서는 어획량이 적었다. 반면, PDO가 음의 위상이었던 1990s년대에는 동해 어획량이 많고 서해에서는 적었다. 이는 살오징어가 난류를 따라 북상하거나 난류를 거슬러 남하회유를 하는 생활사에 기인된다. 동해의 경우, 난류가 강(약)할 때, 난류경로가 한국의 동해 연안 쪽(동해 중부 해역 및 일본 연안 쪽)으로 치우치게 되는데 이는 PDO가 양의 위상이었던 1980년대에 어장이 울릉도 동편에 위치하였던 반면 PDO가 음의 위상이었던 1990년대에 어장이 동해 연안에 위치한 것과 관련있다. 서해 살오징어 어획량이 증가한 1980년대에는 동해로 유입되는 난류수 수송량이 감소한 반면 서해로 유입되는 난류수는 증가하였으며 이는 서해로 수송되는 유생의 양을 증가시키는 주요 원인이 된다. This review paper discussed the decadal fluctuations in the catch of the common squid, Todarodes pacificus (T. pacificus) by focusing on migration and distribution patterns. Since 1980s, changes in T. pacificus catches were due to climate regime shift in Korean waters. Fluctuation patterns of catches were different between the East Sea and the Yellow Sea. Generally PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation) phase shows a negative correlation with strength of warm current to the East Sea. In 1980s when PDO was positive phase (+), T. pacificus catch was higher in the Yellow, but it was lower in the East Sea. In 1990s when PDO was negative phase (-), T. pacificus catch showed opposite trend compared with 1980s. Such spatial and decadal fluctuations of T. pacificus catch were due to its northward migration along with the warm current or southward movement against the current. In the East Sea, strong (weak) warm current period, the current path has been shifted toward the East Sea coast of Korea (central East Sea or the coast of Japan). It has a correlation with PDO. In the positive PDO phase (1980s), the fishing ground was located on the eastern side of Ulleungdo, whereas during negative PDO phase (1990s), they were situated near the southeastern coast of the Korean peninsula. In the 1980s, volume transport passing into the Yellow Sea increased, whereas volume transport in the East Sea decreased. This is one of major reason increasing T. pacificus larvae in the Yellow Sea.

      • 자아개념과 자아효능감의 비교 분석

        The purpose of this thesis is to illuminate conceptually the similarities and differences between self-concept and self-efficacy, the self-constructs known to wield critical influence on students' academic attainment and psychological well-being in school. The two conceptualizations share important similarities such as their treatment of perceived competence as the most integral element. Both self-beliefs use prior mastery experience, social comparison and reflected appraisals as major informations sources. They are also domain-specific and multidimensional such that students hold perceptions that are unique to each academic domain and reasonably differentiated across diverse areas. These constructs predict subsequent motivation, emotion, and performance to varying degrees. There are also important differences. Academic self-concept includes cognitive evaluation of capability along with affective reactions. Self-efficacy makes clear distinction between these components and considers affective reactions as a consequence of self-efficacy perceptions. While competence evaluation in self-concept relies heavily on social comparison and hence tends to be normative, self-efficacy evaluation is primarily goal-referenced and most strongly affected by one's enactive experiences. Academic self-concept reflects an aggregated judgment or overall impression of one's competence in given academic domains. As such, self-concept beliefs tend to be past-oriented, stable over time, and resistant to change. Academic self-efficacy demonstrates more consistent operational definitions and more context-specific judgment of one's competence. The dynamic and malleable nature of self-efficacy perceptions renders them more amenable to experimental procedures aiming at efficacy enhancement. These differences contribute to self-efficacy's superior predictive and explanatory utility. Which still need considerably more research are How can we change students' self-perceptions to a positive direction? How can we strengthen their self -confidence toward difficult and previously unsuccessful academic tasks? Most importantly, how can we help students form accurate yet optimistic self-perceptions and help them avoid their low academic self-perceptions to negatively affect their self-worth?
