Results: In our study, cerebral blood flow increased more in the stroke rats which had been fed by Chungpyesagan-tang than in the control. Chungpyesagan-tang induced vascular NO synthesis, but had no effect on neuronal NO synthesis. Conclusion: The mechanism of Chngpyesagan-tang's therapeutic effect on ischemic stroke could be explained by increasing cerebral blood flow and vascular NO synthesis.
여주 비가림 재배 시 정식시기가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 비가림하우스 재배에서 정식시기가 여주의 생육 및 과실 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 여주의 정식시기는 각각 6월, 7월, 8월에 정식하는 3처리로 하였으며, 품종은 ‘드레곤’을 이용하여 재배하였다. 여주의 유인방법은 원줄기를 적심처리하고 아들줄기를 4개로 유인하여 재배하였다. 여주 식물체의 생육조사 결과 절간장은 정식시기에 따른 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 그러나 여주 식물체의 지제부 경경은 정식시기에 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 또한, 여주의 정식시기는 과실의 수량과 수확개수 증가에 효과적이었다. 과실의 상품과 수량은 6월 정식처리구에서 6,439kg/10a으로 가장 많았으며, 반면 8월 정식처리구에서 870kg/10a으로 가장 적었다. 과실의 상품과 수확개수도 6월 정식처리구에서 8월 정식처리구에 비하여 유의성 있게 증가하였다. 그러나, 과실의 과장과 과경은 정식시기에 따른 유의한 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 여주의 적정 정식시기는 6월에 정식하는 방법이 가장 적합하였다. The experiment was carried out to examine the effects of planting date on the growth and marketable yield of bitter gourd grown in rain-shield plastic houses. Bitter gourd cv ‘Dragon’ seedlings were separately transplanted during the months of June, July and August, 2015. The training method of all plants was made with four lateral vines and pinching the main vine. Lateral length of plants exhibited no significant difference between each planting date. However, bitter gourd planted in June had significantly higher main stem diameter than those treatments planted on August. The application of planting date was found effective in increasing marketable yield and number of fruits. June, as a planting date, had the highest marketable yield (6,439kg/10a), whereas bitter gourd planted in August had the lowest yield (870kg/10a) which were also consistent in terms of the number of fruits. Fruit length and diameter had no significant differences as affected by treatments. Therefore, planting date of bitter gourd in June was effective in increasing yield of fruit in rain-shield plastic house conditions.
비가림 재배 시 오크라의 적심처리 시기가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 비가림하우스에서 오크라의 적심처리 시기가 오크라 과실의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 오크라는 5월에 정식하였으며, 품종은 ‘그린소드’를 이용하였다. 오크라의 적심처리는 정식후 각각 30, 45, 60일 후에 실시하였다. 오크라의 지상부 생체중은 정식 60일후 적심처리구에서 가장 많았으며, 30일 처리구에서 가장 작았다. 반면, 오크라의 초장과 절간장은 적심처리간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 오크라의 적심처리 재배는 과실의 수량과 수확개수 증가에 효과적이었다. 오크라 과실의 수량은 정식 60일후 적심처리구에서 4,257kg/10a으로 가장 많았으며, 반면 30일후 적심처리구에서 2,508kg/10a으로 가장 적었다. 또한 오크라 과실의 무기성분은 적심처리에 따른 유의한 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 오크라의 비가림재배시 적정한 적심처리 시기는 정식 60일후에 적심처리하는 방법이 가장 적합하였다. The experiment was carried out to examine the effect of pinching time on growth and marketable yield of okra in rain shielding vinyl houses. Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L., ‘Green sod’) seedling was transplanted in May, 2013. Pinching times of okra were in each 30th, 45th, 60th day after transplanting of okra. Shoot branch and top fresh weight were significantly different between each pinching times. Top fresh weight were highest at 60th day pinching time after transplanting investigated, and were lowest at 30th day pinching time after transplanting. There was no significant difference in plant height and stem length among pinching times. According to pinching times, marketable yield and number of okra fruits were varied. Marketable yields were highest at 60th day after transplanting, whereas were lowest at 30th day after transplanting. Mineral concentrations of okra fruits were not significantly different among pinching times. Therefore pinching times 60th day after transplanting was effective to increase yield of okra fruit in rain shielding vinyl houses.

Background/Aims: Sustained HBV DNA reduction is necessary for biochemical remission, histological improvement, and prevention of complications. We analyzed the time taken from HBV DNA loss to viral breakthrough after antiviral treatment in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). The early fall of the HBV DNA level to undetectable levels assessed really whether it is related to late breakthrough. Methods: A total of 91 patients whose HBV DNA levels dropped below undetectable levels were chosen from lamivudine-treated 306 patients and were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into 4 groups (A≤12, 12<B≤24, 24<C≤48, D>48 wk) according to the time taken for the HBV DNA to decrease below undetectable levels. HBV DNA level was determined every 3 months. Results: The mean time taken for loss of HBV DNA was 34±28 wk. The baseline ALT differed significantly among groups (A: 382±274, B: 340±30, C: 166±92, D: 54±100 IU/L) (p=0.007). Fifty nine of the 91 patients (64.8%) experienced viral breakthrough. The mean interval between HBV DNA loss and viral breakthrough was 65±40 wk and differed significantly between group A, B (82±43 wk) and group C, D (56±28 wk) (p=0.015). In multivariate analysis, only HBV DNA loss within 24 wk, was found to be independently associated with late viral breakthrough (p=0.035). Undetectable HBV DNA after 24 wk was associated with high odd ratio of 3.24 (95% CI, 1.09-9.67). Conclusions: HBV DNA loss within 24 wk after antiviral treatment could predict the late breakthrough.
