When people write a character with a pen stably, proper compliance planning is necessary. In this paper, after investigating the property of character writing task, we propose a fundamental grasp model for character writing and also analyze compliance characteristics for effective character writing using multi-fingered hands. For this, the general stiffness relation of multi-fingered hand is firstly described. Next, we investigate the grasp configurations for grasping a pen and then, we analyze the conditions of the specified stiffness matrix in the operational space to successfully and more effectively achieve the given character writing task. Through the analysis, an effective grasp modeling for successful character writing is shown. And also, we conclude that the operational compliance characteristics should be properly planned for character writing, stably and precisely.

Recently, the presurgical orthodontic duration tends to be shortened by virtue of the advancement of surgical and orthodontic techniques in class III orthognathic surgery cases. But the predictability of the surgical results should be secured by removing several uncertain factors in presurgical orthodontic treatment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of immediate postsurgical occlusal stability on postsurgical mandibular change. The study includes 40 patients who underwent orthognathic surgery to correct skeletal class III malocclusion. The patients were divided into two groups based on the numbers of occlusal contact in surgical setup occlusion: group1(stable surgical occlusion, n=24) and group 2(unstable surgical occlusion, n=16). Changes of horizontal and vertical mandibular measurements during postsurgical follow up period(from 1 week postsurgery to 12month after debonding) were compared to examine the differences between two groups. The stability of surgical occlusion is one of the factors influencing postsurgical mandibular changes in class III malocclusion. The various class III malocclusion cases have specific prerequisites for the orthognathic surgery according to the skeletal patterns. The prerequisites should be obtained by minimum presurgical orthodontics to increase the predictability of the surgical results.

본 논문에서는 어떤 방사능 지역의 방사능 수준을 원격지에서 진단하기 위하여 설계된 원격조정 이동형로봇 시스템을 제시한다. 제시된 이동 로봇은 기본적으로 무선통신이 가능한 리모콘을 사용하여 원격지에서 조종이 가능하다. 이 로봇은 장착된 방사능 센서를 이용하여 어떤 방사능 지역에서 방사능 수준을 측정할 수 있고, 측정된 데이터를 안전한 원격지에 있는 모니터링 컴퓨터로 보낼 수 있다. 또한 충돌감지 신호를 기반으로 로봇과 어떤 장애물과의 충돌을 회피하는 것이 가능하다. 결과적으로, 일반적인 자연 방사능 실험과 시험용 방사성 물질을 이용한 실험 및 방사능 지역에서의 현장 실험을 통하여, 제안된 로봇 시스템의 유용성을 보인다. This paper presents a remote-controlled mobile robot system designed for remote diagnosis of radioactivity in a radioactive area. The proposed mobile robot is basically controllable at a remote site by using a wireless remote controller. This robot can measure the radiation level in a radioactive area by using a radioactivity sensor attached and send it to a monitoring computer placed in a safe remote site. It is also possible to avoid a collision between the robot and an obstacle based on a collision detection. As a result, the usefulness of the proposed robot system has been shown through some experiments in a general natural environment, an experiment employing a test radioactive material, and field tests in a radioactive area.
