The fabrication method of aspheric lens is changed from machining to press molding so as to improve the productivity. In the case of the press molding method, the temperature control of the molding die is most impotent, because the temperature of each molding die determines the quality of lens. But any practical method for direct measuring of the lens temperature and the die internal temperature is yet unknown. Besides, in the case of the press molding system in which the heating and pressing and cooing of a die is done at one work station, the cycle time for the system is yet too long. The paper shows an improved structure of radiant sequential system in which the heating and pressing and cooing of dies is done at individual work station so as to cut down the cycle time. To know the die internal temperature, numerical results are given using ANSYS. An experimental radiant sequential system is developed and tested. Finally, the Taguchi method is applied in order to optimize the setting conditions of individual work station.

The paper shows an improved structure of convective sequential system, the lens productivity of which is three times as many as the conventional convective system. To know the die internal temperature, numerical results are given using ANSYS. A new convective sequential system is developed and tested. Finally, the Taguchi method is applied in order to optimize the setting conditions of individual work station of the system.

The automation system oriented as one of the second year automation projects for the small and medium sized enterprises(SME) was developed for the improvement of the production rate and cut the required manpower in the field of the relay which is one of the small electric components used in various industrial fields. The objectives of this study are not only improving the international competition of the relay itself but also partially solving the technical and financial problems featured by common bottlenecks of the SME for efficient assembly automation. For the purpose of these objectives, several topics are studied as followings. -. Analyzing the adjustment process and determining the specification of the automation system. -. Determining the layout for the automation system to meet the determined specification. -. Detail design of the automation system for relay adjusment and inspection. -. Control system design. -. Automation system development and performance test.
공학 시스템 설계를 위한 체계적인 개념 설계 프로세스 구조 개발

The design process must be planned carefully and executed systematically in order to support designers who are faced with many engineering design problems. In particular, conceptual design stage is very important than other stages such as detailed design or manufacturing stage on designing engineering systems. When designers are faced contradictory situation in task, conceptual design usually requires inventive thinking which depends on their creativity. And in order to develop good concepts, it is necessary to resolve contradictory situations during conceptual design. This paper presents a structure of systematic conceptual design process for designing engineering systems. And we developed the automatic feeding screw device using the proposed design process structure.
