With the growing economic development, the consuming trend and demand is also changing fast. Two critical factors of improving the products’ international competency are technology development and design strategy, which means to make the brand design strategies. At present, the brand design level of Chinese products still haven’t achieved the high customer’s demand despite that the minds of brand design strategy are becoming stronger. Recently the market economy in China’s western parts is developing fast and the market demand for agricultural products with brands is also growing. Especially after China became a member of WTO, both domestic and foreign markets of agricultural products got to be more competitive. With such background, Chinese agricultural products should improve their competency with brand strategy. Our purpose of this study is to examine the related design problems existed in the Chinese Sichuan Kimchi package and come up with the corresponding improving solutions. In the first part, a brief statement about brand and brand design basic concepts as well as the relationship between package design and brand is given. In the second part, several successful brand design examples about domestic or foreign agricultural products will be discussed. In the third part, a customer survey about Chinese Sichuan Kimchi package design is conducted and analyzed. Finally, the improvement solution from the version design about Sichuan Kimchi brand and package design is proposed. Keywords : 포장디자인, 브랜드, 김치 package design, brand, kimchi
