A biodegradable and biocompatible PCL was used for fabricating a polymeric scaffold, which has a size with 20 × 5 × 2.5 ㎜ and pore size of 130 ㎛ between micro-sized strands. The surface of the fabricated PCL scaffold was modified with a chemical blowing agent at various blowing conditions, temperature (90, 110, and 130 ℃) and blowing time (I5, 30, and 45s). From SEM results, the surface of the blown PCL scaffolds showed high roughness relative to normal PCL scaffolds. We believe that the surface-modified scaffolds could provide high initial cell attachment and proliferation of osteoblasts.
