한국 동해 남부 연안 일광만의 요각류 Acartia steueri의 알 생산력

Egg production of Acartia steueri was estimated in llkwang Bay, located in the southeastern coast of Korea. The equation, combining fecundity, temperature and chlorophyll a, obtained under the laboratory experiments, was applied to the in situ temperature and chlorophyll a for the estimation of field egg production. Mean egg size was $80.52{\mu}m$. Prosome length of adult females was not correlated with egg size. Egg production of field population ranged from 0.32 to $63.32{\mu}gC\;m^{-3}d^{-1}$ with a mean of $13.33{\mu}gC\;m^{-3}d^{-1}$, which were equivalent to $7.1\~1407.1\;eggs\;m^{-3}d^{-1}$ and $296.1\;eggs\;m^{-3}d^{-1}$, respectively. Fecundity of adult females ranged from 5.4 to $12.5\;eggs\;female^{-1}d{-1}$ with a mean of $8\;eggs\;female^{-1}d^{-1}$. Specific egg production rates ranged from 0.028 to 0.117 $d^{-1}$ with a mean of 0.064 $d^{-1}$. Considering the egg Production ($\%$ female body carbon) as a function of temperature and chlorophlrll a concentration, our results showed rather low fecundity, which might be underestimated. Probable cannibalism of egg by the adults were thought to be pan of the reason for this low estimated fecundity.

This paper is to analyze (1) initial market entrance strategy, (2) investment strategy, and (3) foreign real estate invest strategy of global REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and real estate invest fund. Our findings provide substantial implications to Korean firms. In the initial market strategy, in reference to the case of USA and UK, spinning off the real estate subsidiary seems to be the most desirable form for the initial business organization. This has advantages of economics of scale, constructing an image as the professional investment company, acquiring human resources, and building enterprising organizational cultures. Among investment strategies, indirect investment, overseas investment, specialized product investment should be closely reviewed. Finally, it is desirable to accumulate information and know-how of the local market through initial indirect investment and then convert to direct investment when it comes to overseas investment. It is also important to build strong partnership with the local eligible firm in initial overseas investment.

Exploring Vulnerability to Misinformation on Social Media During Public Health Crises

Utilizing misinformation that circulated during the Ebola outbreak in 2015 in the United States, we examined the predictors of vulnerability to misinformation, including Internet use for information purposes, need for cognition (NFC), anxiety management, and social interaction motivation for sharing Ebola information. Employing an online survey, in this study, we found that people who use the Internet to receive information are likely to have higher levels of NFC, and such high-NFC individuals are more likely to be susceptible to misinformation than low-NFC individuals. Furthermore, both types of motivation for information sharing moderated the indirect relationship between Internet use for information purposes and the vulnerability to Ebola-related misinformation through NFC. The theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.
