The package loading process of the lumbering industry is an operation that after a pair of workers bind three or six lumbers into one unit and cut both ends of the lumbers, transports the weight cargo of 30-50kg by one meter, pack and load at a height of 1.2 meters. This package loading process causes lots of noise and wood dust when workers carry out the heavy work as the above. Therefore we developed the monolithic both ends cutting package loading equipment in order to prevent from getting musculoskeletal disease. An loading bar working system of this equipment is improved from pneumatic pressure system to oil pressure system, furnished the newly designed flow dividers, and developed the new system that a both end array is loaded identically. Also we developed the safety equipment of loading bar in order to prevent workers mistake and overload from malfunction during the package loading process. The main cause of job evasion on working place could be solved by preventing the musculoskeletal disease and improving the working environments.

A study to analyze and solve problems of a stone surface process experiment has presented in this paper. We have taken Taguchi's parameter design approach, specifically orthogonal array, and determined the optimal levels of the selected variables through analysis of the experimental results using S/N ratio.

A multi axis whetstone polishing system, which uses the flow system of the stone polishing machine head, has been developed. The test results show that the defect by line contact polishing does not occur in both ends of the stone and that it came to trim smoothly. In terms of the surface roughness, the corresponding index was decreased by 3.6 times, improving the polishing effect greatly. It decreased significantly the dust and noise with the wet polishing. The factors of the duty evasion at production site can thus be solved with the work environment improvement against the polishing process of the stone industry and work intensive reduction.

Purpose: Sclerostin, an inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin signaling, exerts negative effects on bone formation and contributes to periodontitis-induced alveolar bone loss. Recent studies have demonstrated that serum sclerostin levels are increased in diabetic patients and that sclerostin expression in alveolar bone is enhanced in a diabetic periodontitis model. However, the molecular mechanism of how sclerostin expression is enhanced in diabetic patients remains elusive. Therefore, in this study, the effect of hyperglycemia on the expression of sclerostin in osteoblast lineage cells was examined. Methods: C2C12 and MLO-Y4 cells were used in this study. In order to examine the effect of hyperglycemia, the glucose concentration in the culture medium was adjusted to a range of levels between 40 and 100 mM. Gene expression levels were examined by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Western blot assays. Top-Flash reporter was used to examine the transcriptional activity of the β-catenin/lymphoid enhanced factor/T-cell factor complex. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα) protein levels were examined with the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The effect of reactive oxygen species on sclerostin expression was examined by treating cells with 1 mM H2O2 or 20 mM N-acetylcysteine. Results: The high glucose treatment increased the mRNA and protein levels of sclerostin. High glucose suppressed Wnt3a-induced Top-Flash reporter activity and the expression levels of osteoblast marker genes. High glucose increased reactive oxygen species production and TNFα expression levels. Treatment of cells with H2O2 also enhanced the expression levels of TNFα and sclerostin. In addition, N-acetylcysteine treatment or knockdown of TNFα attenuated high glucose-induced sclerostin expression. Conclusions: These results suggest that hyperglycemia increases sclerostin expression via the enhanced production of reactive oxygen species and TNFα.

First, in order to improve selecting method of quality characteristic level desired by customers, S/H(Signal-to-Noise) ratio of Taguchi in larger-the-better characteristics was applied. Second, the Matrix classification standard of ACE(Attribute Categorization Evaluation) is presented using KANO model on difference analysis of importance and satisfaction through questionnaire from customers. This is for reflecting the diverse EC which customers want in EC quality sufficiently. Also, establishing sales point will be helpful in business strategy through presenting types that are able to decide planning quality. Third, the important measure of EC about correlation among quality characteristics and a new weight o( EC are calculated depending on importance of EC and the weight of customer attribute and materials of relationship matrix through correlation matrix analysis.
