The purpose of this study is to seek for improved directions of the Korean curriculum of Korean studies abroad through analysing the foreign language curriculum in KU Leuven in Belgium (2014-2015). As a result of analysis, foreign language curriculums in KU Lueven are divided into ‘Tall-en letterkunde(언어문학사)’ and ‘Taal–en regiostudies(언어지역학사)’, both of which are in common in the sense of teaching foreign languages as a major study at the university, however, have a difference in the fact that ‘Tall-en letterkunde(언어문학사)’ is the curriculum focusing on the knowledge of linguistic, translation and analysing skills to improve better communication ability, whereas, ‘Taal–en regiostudies(언어지역학사)’ is the curriculum reinforcing gradational education system by linguistic knowledge and language practice to understand learners’ target regions. Through this analysis, this study proposes to develope alternative Korean curriculum in Europe in the direction of ‘Taal–en regiostudies(언어지역학사)’, and to design new curriculums improving linguistic skills to understand Koreans documents and analysis by making up text analysis modules in the course of ‘Tall-en letterkunde(언어문학사)’’ into Korean language curriculums on the purpose that the Korean language curriculum should be geared up as study tools for Eastern Asian studys.

Frayer Model 활용 기반 녹음 융합 과제 중심의 한국어 관용표현 교수․학습 전개를위한 시론적 연구 - 초급에 적용한 수업 절차와 방법에 관한 사례를 중심으로-

본 연구는 외국인 유학생들을 위한 관용표현 교수․학습 도구로 Frayer Model 활용 기반 녹음 융합 과제 교수․학습 모형을 충청남도에 소재한 S대학교에서 6개월간 단기 유학중인 외국인 유학생들에게 적용한 수업 사례와 방법을 적용하고 이에 대한 학습자들의 반응을 살펴본 결과를 제시한 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 교육적 시사점을 얻을 수 있다. 첫째, Frayer Model 활용 기반 녹음 융합 과제는 학습자가 관용표현에 나타난 어휘의 의미를 문화적인 함축적 의미로 받아들여 암기해야 하는 부담을 갖지 않고 자연스럽게 관용표현에 사용된 어휘에 관한 의미들을 유추하는 활동으로 전개되기 때문에 자연스럽게 맥락 중심의 어휘지식 확장과 의미 이해가 가능하고 녹음과제를 통한 한국어 산출이 용이하다. 둘째, 교수․학습 절차와 방법이 시각적 자료와 녹음기 등 멀티미디어 자료를 활용한 활동으로 구성되기 때문에 문화 이해능력과 표현능력 향상을 기대할 수 있다. 셋째, 녹음 과제는 학습자가 반복적으로 녹음 및 수정이 가능한 활동이기 때문에 학습자 스스로 향상된 한국어 관용표현 구어 사용 기술과 능력을 확인할 수 있다. 결론적으로 Frayer Model 활용 기반 녹음 융합 과제는 외국인 유학생들이 관용표현에 대하여 같은 문화적 특수성과 의미적 함축에 대한 부담을 최소화 하고 실제적 맥락에서 사용되는 다양한 관용표현들의 어휘 의미들을 유추하는 활동을 통해 자연스럽게 관용표현 어휘 학습과 문화 이해를 터득할 수 있는 교육적 활용도가 높을 것으로 기대한다.

This paper examines the future direction of this course through teaching - learning examples of the <Writing and Speaking> class. The contents of teaching - learning were mainly focused on the learning activities and exercises of ≪Creative Writing and Speaking≫ which are used as teaching materials. This textbook was published by the University Press and was developed to be used in all departments without distinction of any kind. It is characterized by the fact that the learner can participate more actively while reorganizing the textbook which was composed mainly of the introduction formula. The learning activities in the ‘Creative thinking and expression’ of the textbook were mainly related to the creativity enhancement. Through this, students can think creatively. This paper examines the future direction of this course through teaching - learning examples of the <Writing and Speaking> class. Learning activities of ‘Words and Words for communication’ can be learning activity that can be practiced according to the procedure of writing, a learning activity that can be used in various ways such as explanatory writing and speaking, persuasive writing and speaking, narrative writing and speaking, descriptive writing and speaking So that the students’ communication capacity could be strengthened. In ‘Practical Writing and Speaking’, after presenting the actual report of the most used in college, it was helpful to students by suggesting ways to utilize various academic materials. In addition, a preparation process for becoming a member of society was suggested by writing a resume or self-introduction. In view of the current trend of writing and speaking education turning toward true communication capacity building, it is necessary to consider the reorganization of the learning activities of textbooks. It was a time to worry about learning activities that could be realized as ‘reading- speaking-writing’. First of all, it is necessary to develop into integrated Liberal-Korean Education by presenting diverse reading materials.

한국 문화교육의 자료로서 아리랑 TV 영상 자료 활용에 대한 외국인 학습자들의 반응 조사 연구 - 해외 한국학 교육 현장(벨기에)의 수업 사례 제시 -

본 연구는 해외 한국학 교육 현장에서 이루어지는 문화 교육의 자료로서 아리랑 TV 방송 프로그램 영상 자료를 활용하고 이에 대한 학습자들의 반응을 조사한 결과를 제시하기 위한 목적에서 이루어졌다. 해외 한국학에서 문화교육은 언어 교육과정과 분리된 문화 내용 중심 교육이 이루어지기 때문에 이러한 학습 환경에 적합한 자료 선정 및 활용 방법에 관한 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 본고는 해외 한국학에서 한국 문화를 공부하는 외국인 학습자들이 한국 문화에 관한 내용을 깊이 있게 이해하기 위한 학습 자료로 아리랑 TV 영상자료를 활용하고 이에 대한 학습자들의 반응을 조사하였다. 그 결과 아리랑 TV 영상 자료는내용이 영어로 제작된 점과 전통과 현대의 상황을 실제적 상황으로 재현한 드라마 형식으로 구성된다는 특성 때문에 외국인 학습자들이 흥미를 갖고 한국 문화를 깊이 있게 이해하는 자료로서 활용 가치가 있다는 결론을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 해외에서 한국 문화를 교육하는 데 필요한 적절한 자료 선정과 활용 방법을 모색하는 해외 한국학 현장 교육 연구에 참고 자료로 활용 될 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the response of foreign students to the teaching of Korean culture using Arirang TV programs as a cultural resource at the university level overseas. When Korean culture is taught abroad, Korean studies should be based on further research on how to select and use appropriate resources for each different learning environment because of the teaching of Korean culture based on local contents. Therefore, using the Arirang TV programs as resources, this study investigates the responses of foreign learners studying Korean culture overseas on their understanding of Korean cultural contents in detail. As a result, this research demonstrates the beneficial use of the Arirang TV programs as teaching resources for foreign learners who are interested in building a deep understanding of Korean culture. Based on the results, a variety of drama-style resources in English could be more useful, practical, and essential in the teaching and learning of Korean culture overseas. This study is expected to be a useful reference for researchers who are searching for the appropriate selection and utilization of resources for countries abroad.

학문목적 한국어 쓰기교육 연구 동향 분석 - 학문목적 한국어 작문교육 관점

This study is to aimed to identify the direction of writing education for academic purposes through an analysis of research trends on writing education from a Korean perspective. Accordingly, primary data were first collected for the latest 10 years from January 2012 to January 2022, restricted to dissertations and journal papers. The search keywords were“Korean writing education for academic purposes”,“Korean writing for academic purposes”,“writing activities for academic purposes,”and“Korean writing strategies for academic purpose”. Furthermore, were selected for the final analysis after organizing and reviewing target papers on writing activity based on the academic writing type frame presented by Alexander Brain, in 1867 (Bae, 2019:240). A total of 215 articles were collected to obtain research data on writing education for academic purposes, of which 23 were studies dealing with writing activities. In all 23 studies of writing activities in research on writing education for academic purposes were founded, thus indicating insufficient research interest in the past. Consequently, -Analysis of writing activities identified, four major types of research were found. Classified writing activity type, writing task type and activity method, activity linkage with other language skills, and other characteristics of learners. This study suggests that education research on writing activities is necessary for the cultivation of learner-centered active writing skills. In addition, And this study emphasizes that writing education for academic purposes is necessary process for foreign students to develop critical and logical thinking skills using various materials beyond basic knowledge and expression skills of the Korean language.

PWIM 활용 기반 어휘 교수-학습 방법의 효용성 연구: 한국어 입문기 중국인 결혼 이주여성들을 대상으로

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the visual image retrieval method using PWIM when it is applied to Chinese marriage migrant Korean language learners in the introductory Korean class. The target vocabulary were presented by using PWIM teaching-learning method and the Google image search during four days of introductory course applying. The learners responded that the vocabulary learning method using the Google image search helped them learn new Korean vocabulary. Finally, the results also suggested that PWIM would be helpful teaching methodology especially in an educational environment targeted for multicultural women who need a useful teaching-learning method. 본 연구는 아산시 다문화지원센터에서 입문기 한국어 과정을 수강하는 중국인 이주여성 학습자들을 대상으로 구글 이미지 검색방법 활용 기반 PWIM 어휘 교수-학습 사례 연구를 실시하고 이를 통해 이에 관한 교수-학습의 효용성을 논의한 시론적 연구이다. 본 연구는 첫째, 입문기 한국어 과정을 수강하는 중국인 이주여성 학습자 5명을 대상으로 총 4일간의 연구 수업을 실시하고 설문조사를 통해 이에 대한 반응과 활용도 등을 조사하였다. 둘째, 학습자들의 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 어휘 교수-학습의 도구로서 시각적 이미지 검색 방법의 활용 방법과 교수-학습의 효용성을 논의하였다. 그 연구 결과 본 연구에서 적용한 구글 이미지 검색방법 활용 기반 PWIM 어휘 교수-학습 방법은 결혼 이주여성들의 자기주도적 어휘 학습의 도구로 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이라는 결론을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 단 5명의 입문기 학습자들을 대상으로 한 단 4일 간의 제한적인 연구 대상으로 실시한 연구 수업의 결과라는 점에서 연구의 결과를 일반화하기에는 한계가 있지만 이들을 대상으로 한 어휘 교수-학습 방법이 필요한 교육 환경에서 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

학습자 요구 조사를 통한 한국 문화 수업 내용 선정 - 벨기에 대학교의 사례를 중심으로 -

The purpose of this paper is to proposes new contents for Korean culture education as overseas Korean studies which is based on students’ needs in the eduction field. ‘Culture’ is recently recognised as an important object of research. This study carried out a survey targeting 30 undergraduate students in order to select the contents of Korean culture curriculum. The paper proposes to select three contents categories; first, for Korean historical culture, second, for living life of Korean people, third, for emotion of Korean people. This study is expected to contribute contents development of Korean culture education as overseas Korean studies.
