        This study was conducted to give basic data for the improvement of nursing education. The purposes of This study ate to find out and analize the data of nursing education in Junior college and then provide a reference to nursing education. The subjects of this study were 153 students of Hyejeon Junior college of nursing. The data was collected by means of a self-administered structered questionaire during the period of 20, 5, 1987 through 24, 5, 1987. The results of this study were as follows. 1. General characteristics of the students : for the total 153 respondents, their main age was, as 47 percent, 20, 54.2 percent of them had religions, 83.6 percent of them lived in middle class of socioeconomic status. 2. Among the motives for selecting Hyejeon Junior college of nursing, the highest is through persuation of their parents and teacher. 3. The reasons why they are not satisfied or discontent with nursing are as large boarden of curriculum. 4. In the degree of satisfaction in their present curriculum, more than half of the students responded as commonplace. The main reasons why they are difficult for curriculum were lack of their abilities. 5. In the general concepts toward nursing profession, the students showed higher scores in the item that it is a occupation in independent function with responsibility and creative power. 6. The most difficult problem which they come to meet in their college life is inadequate educational facilites and lack of reference, therefore their study and their Clinical practice are big present problem. 7. The most of them hope that they will be clinical practice nurses after their graduation.

      • 부성전환 경험에 관한 연구

        Research has consistently demonstrated that the transition to parenthood is a stressful event. As well, the literature recognizes that the role of the father is in the process of change. The purpose of this qualitative study was to clarify our understanding of the experience of Korean expectant fatherhood. Individual interviews were utilized to gather data. Twenty-six expectant fathers were interviewed in their homes. The interviews were audio-taped and transcribed by the researcher. The data were analyzed using the grounded theory method of Glaser and Strauss. Findings suggest that expectant fathers go through a predictable three-stage process during the transition to fatherhood. In addition, factors were identified which affect the transition. They felt excluded from the childbearing experience by their mates, health care providers, and society. Expectant fathers found themselves without models to assist them in taking on the role of active and involved parent. The findings of this study promote greater understanding of the male experience of expectant fatherhood and may serve as a beginning for the development of intervention to support and promote paternal behavior. Further testing and validation of these findings is indicated. The major category that emerged is "stress in the transition to fatherhood". Subcategories that were identified are "paternal attachment", "paternal role", "social support" and "major strategies".

      • 간호대학생들의 건강상태 및 건강행위에 관한 연구

        This study was designed to find out the complaints for the health problem and the health behavior of 153 female students in a Junior college from May to June, 1987. The main purposes of this study were to present some data helpful for preparing the fundamentals of high level wellness maintenance and improvement for nursing students and further, for women. The methods used for the collection of data were abridged version of a modified Cornell Medical Index and self-report scales made by researcher. The statistical methods for the data analysis were percent, Mean, T-test, F-test, pearson correlation coefficient with S.P.S.S. program. The results of this study were summarized as follows; 1. In health state of perceived subjectively by nursing students, physical health states of 153 subjects are healthy(N=70), ordinal(N=71), poor(N=12). While, mental health states are healthy (N=73), ordinal(N=72), poor(N=8). 2. In regard to health state of nursing students, the highest physical complaint was Nervous system, followed next by fatigability, the highest mental complaint was Inadequacy. 3. It was statistically significant that the total health state related to the physical health state perceived subjectively and being sick within two weeks lately. (P<0.001) 4. Average of the total health behavior level were 50.85 (Maximum:75.0, minimum: 15.0). 5. There was significant difference in health behavior according to grade, present curricular satisfaction. (P<0.005).

      • 간호학과 학생의 스트레스에 대한 간호진단 적용

        The purpose of this study was to examine the stress of nursing students of a university in Chung-ju and apply nursing diagnosis on them in order to help the theory development for the health management of nursing students. Data was gathered from 31 nursing students through self-reported questionaires, interview and daily stress notes. Conclusions are as following : 1. The applied nursing diagnoses of the subjects are Ineffective individual coping, Anxiety, Impaired adjustment, Impaired social interaction, and Situational low selr-esteem. 2. The nursing interventions were done by teaching-learning and counseling methods to give eduational information and coping skills for the nursing student's stress situations. 3. These applications of systematic nursing diagnosis should be anticipated on the scientific basis for the identification and analysis process of nursing problems through a problem-solving method. From these results, we could determine and anticipate the stress of nursing students. The use of nursing diagnosis to generate interventions has sharpened the focus on current practice and has demonstrated the potential of these diagnosis for contributing to qualtity health care of nursing students.

      • 아동양육에서 아버지의 역할에 대한 문헌적 고찰

        The objectives of this study are to evaluate the fathering role in child rearing and by conceptualizing it's context, to provide basic informations for nursing intervention of family mental health. The result of this study implies the fact that despite of father's spending least of time with his child, he contributes great influence on the child development. When father participates attentively in child rearing, son become more masculine -like characteristics and daughter more feminine. Furthermore, father is as able as mother in carrying out parent's role in child rearing and the father's interest and attention on child is not significantly different from that of the mother's. Thus, father is becoming an visible member of the family in child care service ; he now demands more of his rights and accepts his responsibilities as a vital member of the family in childrearing. Therefore, in order to avoid superficial and fragmented nursingcare, nurse should realize the fact that if the demand of a family member is not fullfilled, the whole family is affected and help father to clarify his fathering role and to implement his fathering role as an integrated member in family context.
