      • Smart Home IP-based U-Healthcare Monitoring System using Mobile Technologies

        Mobile technologies usage is becoming more integrated with the delivery of patient care. Mobile technology has the potential to have a positive impact on healthcare. The number of people suffering from chronic diseases is growing rapidly and poses an ever increasing strain on the health care sector. An ageing population is now the leading healthcare concern of many countries in the world. Advances in remote medical care have opened up new opportunities in healthcare systems. In this study, a smart home IP-based U-Healthcare monitoring system using mobile technologies is develop a pervasive architecture for U-Healthcare monitoring, services management system, and preventive medicine. The IP based Mobile and Home u-Healthcare system employ wearable wireless bio-sensors to gather medical data, which is then transmitted using RFID technology to the user’s device, typically a smart phone or a PDA, and directs this information to a local proxy server.

        개인의 건강신념이 모바일 헬스케어 앱 이용의도에 미치는 영향

        Smart healthcare, combining ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) and medical technologies, has been rapidly emerging. Accordingly, its market has also increased as interest in disease prevention, management, and diagnosis grows due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, using mobile devices to support medical activities, mobile healthcare has been attracting attention as a leading service in the smart healthcare market. However, the intention to use mobile healthcare apps may vary depending on individual beliefs and attitudes. Many studies on the intention to use mobile healthcare apps have used the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), but there is a lack of studies that have been verified from the perspective of users' health beliefs. This study aims to identify the factors that affect the intention to use mobile healthcare apps based on the HBM (Health Belief Model). Furthermore, it investigates how this influencing mechanism fluctuates based on the user’s mHealth literacy, the ability to find and understand health information through mobile. This study contributes to the empirical examination of the intention to use mobile healthcare apps through the HBM. It also offers insights for app providers and public health officials to increase the use of mobile healthcare apps.

        건강관리 어플리케이션 이용의도에 영향을 주는 요인 연구 : 대구시 거주 20대 이용자를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the use intention of mobile healthcare application. The influencing factors found from reviews on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and the studies of mobile environments are perceived easy to use, perceived usefulness, quick accessibility, social homogeneity, entertainment, user interface design, self-determination. Data were collected from 200 users who used mobile healthcare application - diets, exercising, body's natural rhythms, etc. We found the perceived easy to use, perceived usefulness and entertainments of the mobile healthcare applications affect the use intention of them. There are no significant relationships between the use intention and the other influencing factors found from literature reviews. For a successful mobile application business in daegu, the developer should recognize that the users want the mobile service model, the services for customers have to perceived usefulness and the entertainments. And a mobile service business model in daegu needs to produce various mobile application for healthcare. 본 연구는 스마트폰을 이용한 모바일 건강관리 어플리케이션 이용자들의 이용의도와 그에 대한 영향요인을 분석함으로써 대구지역 모바일 서비스 산업을 위한 정책적 시사점을 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 특히 SW산업과 콘텐츠 산업의 비중이 전국대비 높은 편이고 전체 스타트업 중 어플리케이션 개발 스타트업의 비중이 높은 대구지역의 경우에는 어플리케이션 이용자들의 이용의도를 분석해보는 연구가 더욱 필요할 것이다. 또한 최근 헬스케어에 대한 관심이 점차 증가하고 있는 현실을 감안할 때 건강관리 어플리케이션 이용자들을 대상으로 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석해 보고 이를 바탕으로 대구지역의 어플리케이션 개발 업체들을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공하고 활용방안을 모색하는 것은 큰 의의를 가진다. 새로운 기술에 대한 이용의도와 영향관계를 측정하는 기술수용모형(TAM)에 입각하여 대구지역의 건강관리 어플리케이션(다이어트, 운동관리, 생체리듬 등)을 이용해본 이용자 200명을 대상으로 설문조사를 해 본 결과, 지각된 용이성과 지각된 유용성뿐만 아니라 모바일 건강관리 어플리케이션의 오락성이 이용의도에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 밝혀내었다. 그 외에 선행연구로부터 고려되었던 신속성, 사회성, 디자인 속성, 자율성 지지 등은 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 따라서 대구지역의 모바일 어플리케이션 산업이 성공하기 위해서는 개발자들이 사용자들의 지각된 용이성과 지각된 유의성 그리고 오락성 등에 대한 충분한 고려를 해야 할 것이다. 또한 대구지역 모바일 서비스 산업의 발전을 위해서 건강관리와 관련된 다양한 모바일 어플리케이션을 개발하는 것도 필요할 것이다.

        U-Healthcare를 위한 HL7 기반의 모바일 웹 처방 인터페이스의 설계

        U-Healthcare의 활성화를 위해 모바일 기기를 활용한 원격진료 및 진료지원에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 특히 원격처방시스템을 허용하는 의료법이 개정되면 모바일 처방시스템에 관한 연구는 급속도로 확산될 것이다. 그러나 모바일 앱은 모바일 플랫폼의 특성에 따라서 호환성이 떨어지는 특징을 가지므로, 플랫폼에 맞게 다시 개발해야 하는 제약사항을 가진다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 이 논문에서는 모바일 표준 웹 개발 언어로 대두된 HLTML5와 자바스크립트 라이브러리인 jQuery Mobile을 이용하여 모바일 웹 처방 인터페이스를 설계한다. 또한, 기존의 병원정보시스템과의 자료 공유를 위해서 표준 프로토콜인 HL7을 기반으로 하는 메시지 형태로 변환하는 기능을 추가한다. HL7 메시지 송신을 통해 기존의 병원정보시스템과의 연동이 가능하도록 한다. 제안 시스템은 모바일 플랫폼에 독립적이고, 범용 컴퓨터에서도 호환성을 가지므로 다양한 환경에서 활용이 가능한 장점을 가진다. Active studies are under way on telemedicine and medical support based on mobile devices in order to vitalize U-Healthcare. Especially when the medical law is revised to allow a remote prescription system, studies on a mobile prescription system will rapidly increase. And yet since mobile apps have less compatibility due to the nature of mobile platform, there is a restriction that they have to be redeveloped to be compatible with the platform. To compensate this problem, this study designs a mobile web prescription interface by using HLTML5, the standard language of mobile web development and jQuery Mobile, a JavaScript Library. It also adds a feature of converting to a form of standard protocol HL7-based messages to share data with existing hospital information system. This interface makes it possible to be interlocked with the existing hospital information system through the transmission of the HL7 messages. The advantage of the proposed system is that it can be used in various environments since it is independent of mobile platforms and compatible with general computers.

        헬스케어 모바일 앱 활성화 정책 연구

        코로나 19를 계기로 디지털헬스케어에 대한 중요성과 관심은 더 커졌으며, 주요국은 디지털헬스케어의 핵심 분야 중 하나인 헬스케어 모바일 앱 활성화를 위한 다양한 정책적 노력을 기울이고 있다. 우리나라도 헬스케어 모바일 앱 활성화를 위한 노력을 기울이고 있으나, 주로 허가 · 심사 등 규제정책과 관련된 내용이 주를 이르며, 구체적인 활성화 정책은 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 미국, 영국, 독일 등 헬스케어 모바일 앱이 실제 의료현장에서 도입 될 수 있는 정책을 펼치고 있는 나라의 정책을 분석하여, 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 국가별 정책을 살펴본 결과 공통적으로 헬스케어 모바일 앱에 대한 정의와 인허가 가이드라인을 제시하고 있으며, 국가 기관에서 이를 검증하고 있다. 또한 의료공급자 및 소비자가 검증된 모바일 앱을 안전하게 이용할 수 있도록 각 국가의 보건의료제도 정책에 적합한 다양한 정책을 펼치고 있다. 우리나라 역시 앞으로 국민들에게 보다 폭넓은 헬스케어 모바일 앱의 정보를 제공할 수 있고, 건강보험에서도 수가 지급 여부 결정에서 활용할 수 있도록 개선이 필요한 시점이다. With the Corona 19, the importance and interest in digital healthcare has grown, and major countries are making various policy efforts to revitalize healthcare mobile apps, one of the key areas of digital healthcare. Korea is also making efforts to revitalize healthcare mobile apps, but most of them are related to regulatory policies such as licensing and reviewing, and there is a lack of specific activation policies. In this study, we tried to draw implications by analyzing the policies of countries where healthcare mobile apps such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany are implementing policies that can be introduced in the actual medical field. In common, the definition and licensing guidelines for healthcare mobile apps are being provided and verified by state agencies. In addition, various policies are implemented to suit the health care system policies of each country so that medical providers and consumers can safely access proven mobile apps. It is also time for Korea to provide more extensive information on healthcare mobile apps to the public in the future, and for health insurance to be improved so that the number can be used in deciding whether to pay.

        헬스케어 데이터 시각화 연구 - 모바일 헬스케어 서비스를 중심으로 -

        헬스케어 서비스는 모바일이나 디바이스로부터 사용자 개인의 활동량, 생체데이터를 수집하여 제공하는데, 데이터가 종과 횡으로 확장됨에 따라 이를 어떻게 효과적으로 보여 줄 것인가에 대한 연구 필요성이 제기 되었다. 정보의 시각화 과정에서 동일 데이터라 할지라도 어떻게 보여주느냐에 따라 다양하게 해석될 수 있다. 헬스케어 데이터는 사람들의 건강과 직접적으로 연결되어 있는 만큼 왜곡이나 오류 없이 정보 수용자에게 전달되어야한다. 본 연구는 사용자로부터 획득한 데이터의 시각화를 위한 최소 가이드를 제안하고 있다. 문헌연구를 통해 정보디자인을 위한 원칙을 정리하고, 사용자의 동기부여를 획득가치로 상정하고 모바일 헬스케어 시각화 기준을 정의하였다. 이러한 기준을 반영하여 구체적인 시각화를 제안하기 위해 현재값, 계측값, 상대값, 관계데이터, 예상값의 다섯 가지 데이터를 모바일 헬스케어의 지속적인 사용에 필요한 값으로 설정하였고, 헬스케어 서비스를 활성화시키기 위한 기준인 명확성, 변수비교, 간결성, 연관도, 신뢰성, 자결성, 맥락성을 적용하여 구체적인 시각화 가이드를 제안하였다. Healthcare service helps users’ health management by collecting an individual user’s activity and biometric data from mobile devices and by providing them to the user. As a result, it has become necessary to perform a research on how to show the collected data. According to information visualization, the same data can have various interpretations depending on how they are represented. Healthcare data must be elivered to information acceptors without errors or distortion as they are directly related to people’s health. With the expansion of healthcare service by the development of technology, this study could measure various data from users and was started to provide a necessary guideline for the visualization of measured numerical data. To propose a specific visualization by applying the visualization direction, 5 types of data including present value, measured value, relative value, relation data, and prediction value were set as the values necessary for the continuous use of mobile healthcare. Visualization was proposed concretely by applying clarity, variable comparison, brevity, relation, reliability, independence, and contextuality, which are the criteria for vitalizing the healthcare service.

        Analyses of Characteristics of U-Healthcare System Based on Wireless Communication

        The medical industries are integrated with information technology with mobile devices and wireless communication. The advent of mobile healthcare systems can benefit patients and hospitals, by not only providing better quality of patient care, but also by reducing administrative and medical costs for both patients and hospitals. Security issues present an interesting research topic in wireless and pervasive healthcare networks. As information technology is developed, many organizations such as government agencies, public institutions, and corporations have employed an information system to enhance the efficiency of their work processes. For the past few years, healthcare organizations throughout the world have been adopting health information systems (HIS) based on the wireless network infrastructure. As a part of the wireless network, a mobile agent has been employed at a large scale in hospitals due to its outstanding mobility. Several vulnerabilities and security requirements related to mobile devices should be considered in implementing mobile services in the hospital environment. Secure authentication and protocols with a mobile agent for applying ubiquitous sensor networks in a healthcare system environment is proposed and analyzed in this paper.

        u-Healthcare를 위한 바이오 단말기의 개발 현황

        Biomedical mobile devices for ubiquitous healthcare consist of biomedical sensors and communication terminal. They have two types of configuration. One is the sensor-network type device using wired or wireless communication with intelligent sensors to acquire biomedical data. The other is the sensor embedded type device, where the data can be acquired directly by itself. There are many examples of sensor network type, such as, fall detection sensor, blood glucose sensor, and ECG sensors networked with commercial PDA phone and commercial phone terminal for ubiquitous healthcare. On the other hand, sensor embedded type mounts blood glucose sensor, accelerometer, and etc. on commercial phone. However, to enable true ubiquitous healthcare, motion sensing is essential, because users go around anywhere and their signals should be measured and monitored, when they are affected by the motion. Therefore, in this paper, two biomedical mobile devices with motion monitoring function were addressed. One is sensor-network type with motion monitoring function, which uses Zigbee communication to measure the ECG, PPG and acceleration. The other is sensor-embedded type with motion monitoring function, which also can measure the data and uses the built-in cellular phone network modem for remote connection. These devices are expected to be useful for ubiquitous healthcare in coming aged society in Korea.

        모바일 단말기 기반의 생체신호 측정 시스템 구현

        보건의료는 u-Healthcare를 통하여 병원중심에서 시민 중심으로 의료 환경변화를 촉진시키고 예방에서 진단, 치료, 사후 관리의 모든 과정을 균형적으로 발전시킬 것으로 전망된다. u-Healthcare 단말이 언제, 어디서나 무자각의 유비쿼터스 단말이 되기 위하여 다음과 같은 기술이 구현되는 것이 필요하다. 이동통신 및 무선 통신망과 연동기능으로 모바일 게이트웨이 구현, Bluetooth 무선 연동기능, 다양한 정보통신기기와의 접목기술, 정밀한 데이터 전송 기술 등이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 u-healthcare를 위한 모바일 기반의 시스템 구현에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. Health medical service is passes with u-Healthcare and it promote health medical service environment change to the citizen center in the hospital center, and all methods of diagnosis, treatment, after management are forecasted in prevention because a balance develops. It is necessary for an u-Healthcare terminal is devoted to becoming an ubiquitous terminal of consciousness when in where and the following technology to result in implementation. Information communication equipment and an appliance technical data transfer technology precision and how mobile gateway implementation, Bluetooth wireless appliance function is various with mobile communication and radio communication network and an appliance function are necessary. therefore, in this paper, we did a study on the implementation of bio signal measuring system for the u-healthcare based on mobile.

        The Extraction Process of Durative Persuasive System Design Characteristics for Healthcare-related Mobile Applications

        In the field of Human-Computer Interaction design, persuasive design has gradually been applied to the system development and design process, especially for mobile application design. However, most mobile applications have hitherto a very short using lifecycle. Especially, design features with long-term persuasive effectiveness remain to be further researched and developed. In this study, we focused on investigating and identifying the durative persuasive design characteristics through a data mining process and evaluating the durative effectiveness through a long-term observation process. Total five hundred healthcare-related mobile applications were selected from Apple iTunes Store and a mixed method was conducted to extract the most common persuasive design characteristics. Based on the results of extraction, a representative healthcare-related mobile application was selected as experimental subject. Total one hundred and twenty participants were observed during a six-months experiment and the monitoring data of app usage of all participants was collected once a week. According to the evaluation model for behavior change identification process, participants with habit formation features were proved to have a significant long-term perception level for ten persuasive design characteristics. Further interview research was performed to investigate the participant's long-term perceptions on those characteristics for the purpose of identifying the durative persuasions. The results indicated that a long-term durative effectiveness can be observed and healthcare-related apps designed with those characteristics could have durative effectiveness. This study may contribute to the improvement of future mobile application designs in user experience and durative persuasion, as well as bringing future benefits for both mobile application developers and users.
