메타 물질 전송선을 이용한 VHF 대역 소형 안테나 설계 및 제작

본 논문은 CRLH 전송선을 이용한 VHF 대역 소형 안테나를 제시 했다. 제안된 안테나는 단위 셀 3개인 안테나와 7개인 안테나 2가지이다. 단위 셀은 인터디지털 커패시터와 스파이럴 인덕터로 구성되어 있다. 단위 셀 3개인 안테나의 크기는 161MHz에서 0.039λ×0.025λ×0.0008λ이고 최대 이득은 –33 dBi이다. 이득 향상을 위해 단위 셀의 개수를 6개와 7개로 증가시켰다. 단위 셀을 6개를 사용한 VHF 대역 안테나는 162.6 MHz에서 0차 공진을 하며 0.077λ×0.025λ×0.0008λ의 크기를 가진다. kr은 0.095이다. 무지향성의(omni-directional) 복사 패턴을 가지고 이득은 -28.4 dBi이다. 단위 셀 7개인 안테나의 크기는 161.4MHz에서 0.089λ×0.025λ×0.0008λ이고 최대 이득은 –26.5 dBi이다. 두 안테나는 전방향성의 복사 패턴을 가진다. 안테나를 둘러싸는 가장 작은 반구의 물리적 반지름을 r이라고 할 때 두 안테나의 전기적 크기(kr)은 각각 0.055 와 0.95 그리고 0.11이다. 임피던스 매칭 시 집중 소자의 주파수 특성 또한 분석하였다. CRLH 전송선을 이용한 안테나는 기존 안테나의 물리적 한계를 극복하여 소형화가 가능하기에 VHF 대역 군 통신에 사용 가능 하다. In this work, the antenna based on CRLH TL is designed at VHF band. The proposed antennas have 3 and 7 unit cells that consist of interdigital capacitors and shunt spiral inductors. The size of the antenna with 3 unit cells is 0.039λ × 0.025λ × 0.0008λ at 161 MHz and its peak gain is -33 dBi. To enhance the gain, the antennas with 6 unit cells and 7 unit cells are fabricated. The size of the antenna with 6 unit cells is 0.077λ × 0.025λ × 0.0008λ at 162.6 MHz and its peak gain is -28.4 dBi. The size of the antenna with 7 unit cells is 0.089λ × 0.025λ × 0.0008λ at 161.4 MHz and its peak gain is -26.5 dBi. The physical size ‘r’ is the radius of the smallest hemi-sphere that can enclose the antenna. The electrical size in kr of each antenna is 0.055 and 0.11, respectively. The effects of frequency characteristic of lumped elements on the impedance matching are also discussed. The antenna based on CRLH TL can overcome the physical limitation of the conventional military antenna. Therefore, the proposed antennas can be used for military communication in the VHF band.
