Background: Our body is composed of 75% of water in infants and 50% of water in adult. An adult male needs about 3 liters of water per day while an adult female needs about 2.2 liters per day. Every day we lose water through our breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For our body to function properly, we must replenish its water supply by consuming plain water, beverages and foods that contain water. Many studies pointed out that water intake among students and youths are not adequate. Therefore, this study aims to explore the daily intake amount (Liter) of water in Soon Chun Hyang University Students, to access the knowledge, practice and attitude upon benefits of water intake. Material and Methods: A descriptive study was conducted among 30 students age (19 years and older) at SCH university of Korea. Data collection took over two weeks (April 14-28) 2022. The study uses convenience sampling and the questionnaire is given directly to the participants and exported to R software (R studio version 4.0.3 for analysis). Results: While accessing the amount of daily water intake, only 30% of students were taking enough amount of their daily requirement and 70% is not. The mean knowledge and attitude of students are high but the majority of students drink less than 2L of water per day and most of them answered drinking 1L per day of water is enough for health. Some of the students think drinking soft drinks and plain water have the same effect on our body. Among the students, the amount of daily water intake is higher in male than female, undergraduate students drink more soft drinks and beverages than master degree students do and surprisingly the amount of daily water intake is lower in master degree students than undergraduate students. Conclusion: The overall daily intake amount of water among the students are not enough which means their practice upon daily water intake is not adequate. However, the level of knowledge and attitude upon daily water intake of SCH university students are found to be adequate. This means that the reason for not taking adequate amount of water is not due to the lack of knowledge and attitude. Therefore, future studies should focus on finding out the factors influencing the daily intake of water among SCH university students.
