캄보디아 농촌지역 가정의 경제적 수준이 청소년 학업성취에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 캄보디아의 농촌 지역 청소년 가정의 경제적 수준과 학업성취 수준을 알아보고, 캄보디아 가정의 경제적 수준이 청소년의 학업성취에 영향을 미치는지 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 캄보디아 캄보디아 트봉크뭄(Tbong Khmum)주의 14개의 구 Roka Po Pram구를 선정하여 설문조사를 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 비확률표본추출인 편의 표집 방법을 사용하여 Roka Po Pram구의 한 고등학교에서 고등학생 2학년과 3학년 311명의 학생을 선발하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 캄보디아 농촌지역의 가구월소득은 청소년의 성적평균점수에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 캄보디아 농촌지역 가정의 경제적 수준이 높을수록 청소년 학업성취에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 통제변수 중 청소년의 심리적 불안과 연령이 학업성취에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 가정의 경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 농촌지역 청소년의 학업성취를 향상시키는 데 초점을 두어야 할 필요성을 제기한다. 따라서 캄보디아 농촌지역 청소년의 학업성취 향상을 위해 청소년의 가정에 대한 지원 방안과 아동복지 정책을 제언하였다. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the economic level of Cambodian families affects the academic achievement of adolescents. This study is based on survey data targeting rural youths in Cambodia in the rural areas of the country located in Roka Po Pram district, one among 14 districts in Tbong Khmum Province, Cambodia. In this study, 311 high school students (grade 11 and 12) were selected from a high school in Roka Po Pram-gu using the non-probability sampling method. The results of this study are presented as follows. I found that monthly household income in rural Cambodia has a significant effect on the average grades of adolescents. The results showed that the higher the economic level of households has a positive (+) effect on adolescents' academic achievement, indicating a correlation between the economic level of households and academic achievement. Among control variables, the psychological anxiety and age of adolescents had effects on the adolescent's academic achievement. Based on this results, the study suggests the importance of improving the academic achievement of youth in rural areas who are experiencing financial difficulties at home. Therefore, to improve the academic achievement of young people in rural Cambodia, it is required appropriate measures and supports for the families of young people within the field of child welfare.
