Due to the breakdown of the home in modern society, the rate of divorce is increasing. Most midlife couples have conflicts of various sizes. Resolving conflicts during this time is more necessary than any other time. The researcher planned to solve these conflicts through the family ministry. He established five hypotheses. He selected seven couples from Gwarim Methodist church, who needed solution to their conflicts. He used a self-modified textbook, with permission from the Institute of Family Ministry in Korea to train them for ten weeks. The researcher found that all the hypotheses were supported: the inferiority of each couple disappeared and self-images were recovered. They regained their self-esteem. Each couple found their role as a husband and wife and established a successful family life. The relationship between family members became normal. Also, relationships with other family members were also better developed. Additionally, those who received the training created a successful church life and began to help other couples by assisting their pastor. The researcher found that most of the couples could solve their conflicts through this training. The promise of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the general promise which God made to anybody that is called. Also it is a normative mode that once the baptism in the Holy Spirit is given, the Spiritual gifts would follow. However, due to the theological debate and the change of the world situation, the general promise and normative mode of the promise of the Holy Spirit baptism is forgotten or disappearing in the churches. One of the reasons would be the lack of correct teaching or lack of experiencing the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. In this study, the researcher tried to make the church be more sensitive to the Baptism in the Holy Spirit by teaching them the general promise of the Holy Spirit and the Spiritual gifts that would follow the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Once the church teaches the Baptism in the Holy Spirit correctly based on the Bible, the church members would anticipate and ask the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Actually they would experience the gifts of the Holy Spirit abundantly. To accomplish this goal, the researched studied the Baptism in the Holy Spirit biblically, theologically and historically. Also he reviewed the similar researches, theories and practical applications on this. He taught the participants with the training materials which he developed in enhance the understanding on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. As a result, the understanding of the participants on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit was enhanced. Also the hypotheses were supported.
