이정관 Fuller Theloogical Seminary 2000 해외박사
This study investigated the effect of juvenile education from family and church context. One's life is heavily determined by one's teenage years. During this period, one needs to establish one's Christian identity. So, there needs to be a suitable Christian education program during one's teenage period. This educational program is, therefore, to help teenagers to establish their Christian identity. This program for teenagers eventually helps Christian teenagers to live as God's people and helps to produce future workers for the church and the community they belong to. This Christian education program for teenagers should not be done by the church only. It needs to be done together with the family the teenagers belong to That's why a teenager's home is the most important field for one's Christian education. When functions and parts of families are properly and biblically restored, it is possible to educate children biblically and properly. In order to do this, there needs to be a specialized program to support the family at church. This can be done in theological, ministerial, and educational ways. The above tells that Christian education has two aspects, church and family. These two aspects are not separated. Family needs church, and church needs family. Church and family have to support each other. Cooperation between family and church has to have educational functions and applications. This cooperation can be very effective and educational. That is why God has put educational duties to both church and family. Therefore, church and family are inseparable and they are in mutual relations for the juvenile education. We need to plan and strategically educate teenagers, while we consider church and family in balance. When this is done, teenagers will eventually learn to love God, to know that they are God's children, to learn how to cooperate with others, and to help others who belong to family, community, and the world.
