As a major motivation of this research, this writer will attempt to propose foundations for a more effective ecumenical education for Christian unity in Myanmar. This research proposes to study the concept of church unity by looking at the restoration of Christian faith and practice through the ministry of ecumenical education in the local churches. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the importance of ecumenical education in relation to Christian unity historically, biblically and educationally. To be a Christian today is of necessity somewhat different from being a Christian a hundred years ago. Christianity without the ecumenical dimension is no longer relevant Christianity. For facing the challenge in the changing world today, ecumenical education in the local church should not be passive. In order to have a more effective ecumenical education, the church needs to clarify the biblical role of ecumenical education in the church. The Church faces the lack of a full understanding of the ecumenical education as God’s transformative agent to transform the body of Christ. The following research questions are used to understand the nature and role of the ecumenical education: (1) how has the importance of the movement of unity “Ecumenical movement” developed historically in WCC? (2) what is the biblical view of ecumenical education for Christian unity according to the principles of the Restoration Movement? This dissertation focuses primarily on these two questions. To have a more effective ecumenical education, the contemporary church needs to clarify the biblical teaching concerning Christian unity. Today, the role of ecumenical education in the Church is recognized passively. The purpose of this writing is to answer the question of “What is ecumenical education? And what is the ecumenical dimension of education in the local church for Christian unity? The writer believes that the initiation of true Christian unity is not from the World Council of Churches or any organization or denomination, but from a transformation of a people to become Christ-likeness through local church’s education which has the ecumenical dimension. The local churches will be transformed through the ecumenical education and then the national church and the international Church of Christ will be transformed. This dissertation focuses on the ecumenical understanding relating to the historical event that happened in Myanmar churches, World Council of Churches and then Restoration movement. Particularly, the study looks into these areas; (1) The Historical background of Myanmar and Christianity from the beginning to the present; (2) The historical background of World Council of Churches from the beginning to the present, analyzing and evaluating on the ecumenical educational policy; and (3) The educational research is on Christian unity relating to the nature and role of ecumenical education based on the principles of Restoration Movement that is relevant to the Myanmar local churches. Chapter one is an introductory chapter and Chapter two is an analyzing the historical background and the current situation of Myanmar Christian unity and ecumenical education. Chapter three is dealing with the crystallization of the World Council of Churches and criticizing and evaluating on the changing perspectives of ecumenical educational policy in the Council. Chapter four describes how the importance of Christian Unity has developed biblically in the Restoration Movement and discussed the biblical principles of unity through restoration, “restoration of Christian culture”. Chapter five is writer’s suggestions of objectives, curriculums and ecumenical teaching-learning process of Ecumenical Education in relation to Christian unity in Myanmar. 이 보고서의 주된 동기로, 필자는 미얀마 기독교의 단일성을 위한 더 효과적인 기독교 교육의 토대를 제시하려 합니다. 이 연구는 크리스천들의 믿음과 지역 교회에서 사역하고 있는 기독교육 목회자들을 통한 믿음과 신뢰의 회복을 학수고대하며, 기독교의 단일성의 개념을 연구하기 위해 제시했습니다. 이 조사의 목적은 교육적,성경적, 역사적으로 기독교의 단일성에 관한 기독 교육의 중요성을 나타냅니다. 오늘날의 기독교인은 100년 전의 기독교인들과 많이 달라지고 있습니다. 세계 교회 주의를 갖고 있지 않다면, 더 이상 기독교라고 할 수 없습니다. 오늘날 세계가 변화 안에서의 도전을 직면 하는 동안, 세계 교회주의에 교육 속에서 지역 교회는 더 이상 수동적이 되어서는 안 됩니다. 더 효과적인 세계 교회주의적인 기독교육을 가지기 위해, 앞으로 교회 안에서 우리는 세계적인 기독교육에 관한 성경적인 역할이 반드시 필요한 때입니다. 교회는 the body of Christ를 변형시키는 사람들로서 세계 교회 주의적 교육의 이해의 결핍을 주는 세력에 대해 바로 직면해야 합니다. 다음에 질문을 통한 연구에 따르면 세계교회 주의적 교육의 사명과 본성을 이해할 수 있습니다. (1) 얼마나 WCC에서 역사적으로 개발되고 있는 "세계교회주의 운동 " 이라는 단일성의 흐름이 중요한가? (2) 현재 회복운동의 원칙에 따라서 기독대학을 위한 세계 기독교육의 성서적 관점은 무엇인가? 이 논문에 초점은 이 두 가지 질문에 집중해서 다루고 있습니다. 더 효과적인 세계 교회주의적인 기독교육을 가지기 위해, 현대의 교회는 기독대학에 관한 성경적 교육이 반드시 필요합니다. 오늘날, 교회 안에 있는 세계적 기독교육의 사명이 수동적으로 인식됩니다. 이 논문의 목적은 세계적 기독교육은 무엇인가 에 관한 질문의 답이 될 수 있습니다. 그렇다면, 기독교 대학을 위한 세계적 차원에서의 교육이 과연 무엇인가? 필자는 세계의회의 교회들, 어떠한 조직, 종파 가 아닌 진실성 있는 기독대학이 되는 시작임을 믿습니다. 또한, 세계주의적 차원의 교회의 교육을 통해 하나님과 같은 사람으로 변화되기를 바랍니다. 지역 교회는 세계 교회주의에 교육을 통해 변화될 것이고, 그렇게 된다면 국가적 교회로 또 나아가서는 하나님의 국제적인 교회로 성장하게 될 것입니다. 이 논문은 미얀마 교회에서 일어난 일들이나, 세계교회협의회 그리고 혁명에 흐름과 같은 역사적인 사건 등을 관련지어 세계 교회 주의적 교육을 이해하는 대에서 있습니다. 특히, 이 지역으로 부터에 연구는 나타냅니다; (1) 처음에서부터 현재 지금의 모습까지의 기독교와 미얀마의 역사적 배경. (2) 세계교회협회의 역사적 배경에서부터 현재에 이르기까지, 세계 교회 주의적 정책에 관하여 분석하고 평가되어집니다. (3) 교육적인 연구는 미얀마 지역교회에 관련할 뿐만 아니라, 혁명적 흐름의 원리에 기초하여 세계주의적 교육의 규칙과 본성에 관해 말해 주고 있습니다. 첫 장에서는 차례를 소개하고 두 번째 장에서는 세계주의적 교육과 미얀마에 있는 기독대학의 상황적 흐름 과 역사를 분석했습니다. 세 번째 장에서는 세계 교회 협의회의 구체적인 방안들, 또한 현재 의회 안에서 정책되어지는 세계적 교육의 변형된 시각에 대해 비평과 평가를 이루고 있습니다. 네 번째 장에서는 "기독교 문화의 회복이라는 " 회복의 내용을 통해 대학의 성서적 원리에 대해 논쟁하였습니다. 또한 회복운동 안에서 일어나는 기독대학의 성서적 개발이 얼마나 중요한지를 다루었습니다. 다섯 번째 장에서는 필자의 객관적인 제안들과, 미얀마의 기독 대학교를 위한 세계적 기독교육의 교과과정이 있습니다.
