우리나라는 경인고속국도(제1호선 경부선)를 시작으로 전국을 연결하는 고속국도망과 1962년 울산공업단지를 시작으로 전국에 약 1,000여개의 산업단지를 중심으로 산업발전을 이루어 현재에 이르렀다. 이러한 고속국도나 산업단지 등 대규모 부지의 건설현장에서는 기존 Total Station측량과 같은 다수의 작업자 중심으로 이루어지던 측량방식에서 벗어나기 위해 GPS측량을 통한 1인 측량이 도입되기 시작했다. 그러나 GPS측량 또한 장비가 고가이고, 크기나 무게측면에서 소·경량화가 이루어지지 못하였으며, 측량을 위해 2개 이상의 기지점(기지국)에 장비를 고정적으로 설치하고, 미지점에 장비를 설치하여 측량을 해야 하므로 3대 이상의 장비가 필요해 1인 측량이라는 말이 무색해져왔다. 이러한 불편함을 해소하기 위해 국토교통부산하 국토지리정보원에서는 전국에 45개의 상시관측소를 설치해 운영하고 있으며, 비로소 오늘날에서야 본격적인 1인 측량이 시작되었다고 할 수 있다. 일반적으로 모든 건설현장에는 매순간 위험이 도사리고 있어 3D(Dangerous, Difficult, Dirty)업종을 기피하는 현대인들의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 현재의 추세를 반영하여 건설현장에서 직접적으로 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 측량로봇에 대해 연구하게 되었다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 GPS측량로봇을 통한 측량성과와 VRS측량을 통한 측량성과를 비교·분석하여 GPS측량로봇의 정확도를 검증하고자하며, 실질적인 1인 측량의 가능성과 추후 발전방안에 대해 논하고자 한다. Therefore, in this study, GIS surveying robot measurement performance and compares the measurement over the performance measurements and VRS can analyze and validate the accuracy of the GIS surveying robot and substantial measures to further developments with the possibility of one measurement is about to discuss now.
