전시해설의 역사교육적 방법과 제안 : 서울역사박물관 중심으로

본 논문에서는 서울역사박물관의 전시를 심도 있게 해설하는 방안을 연구해 보았다. 2002년 5월 21일 개관한 서울역사박물관은 현재 본관 외에 12개의 분관을 운영하는 도시역사박물관으로 성장하였다. 박물관 전시해설의 연구에서 많은 연구자들이 지적했던 것처럼 전시해설은 일방적인 지식의 전달을 넘어 관람객과 소통의 장소가 되어야 한다. 박물관의 교육적인 기능을 생각하면 박물관 교육보다 먼저 발달한 학교의 교육도 수용되어야 하지만 박물관에서는 학교 교육의 과거의 모습을 보이고 있다. 그것의 예로 전시해설이 일방적인 지식 전달만을 위주로 한다는 것이다. 새로운 전시해설의 기법을 위해서는 학교에서 연구하는 교수기법도 살펴보아야 한다. 우선 효과적인 전시해설을 위해 서울역사박물관의 전시해설 운영과 전시해설 교육의 문제점을 살펴보고 개선점을 제안하고자 한다. 전시해설 교육의 문제점으로는 전시해설 기법 교육이 부재한다는 것이 있었다. 그리고 전시해설을 소통하는 방법으로 실현하기 위해 학교 교육을 살펴보고 역사교육적 방법으로 제안하겠다. 전시해설자가 전시관에서 박물관 사회자로서의 역할을 할 때 소통은 더 수월해질 것이다. 유물에 대한 정보를 설명하고 질문을 통하여 관람객과의 대화를 주도하면서 소통의 장을 마련할 수 있다. 소통하기 위한 전시해설을 위해 서울역사박물관의 전시물을 중심으로 전시해설을 제안 하겠다. 바람직한 전시해설 방안을 제시하기 위해 많은 전시해설들이 일방적인 지식 전달 위주로 진행되고 있음을 주목하여 새로운 전시해설의 방법으로 역사교육적인 방법을 연구하였다. 역사교육에서 연구되고 있는 다원성과 비판적 시각, 인권을 적용하여 유물을 분석해 보았고, ‘4존 대한민국 수도 서울’ 전시관에서는 통일을 위한 역사교육이란 시각에서의 해설을 제안하였다. 역사교육적인 전시해설 방법을 통해 관람객과 소통하는 데도 새로운 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. As many researchers have pointed out in the study of museum exhibition commentary, exhibition explanation should go beyond the unilateral transfer of knowledge and become a place of communication with visitors Considering the educational function of museums, school education, which developed earlier than museum education, should be accepted, but museums are showing the past of school education. An example of this is that the exhibition commentary focuses only on one-sided knowledge transfer For new techniques of exhibition explanation, it is necessary to look at the teaching techniques studied in schools. First of all, in order to effectively explain the exhibition, I would like to examine the problems of the operation and the education of exhibition commentary at the Seoul Museum of History, and suggest improvements. One of the problems with exhibition commentary education was the absence of training in exhibition commentary techniques. In addition, in order to apply a communicative method in the exhibition commentary, I will look at the school education and propose it as a historical education method. Communication will be easier when the exhibition commentator acts as a museum moderator in the exhibition hall. You can provide a place for communication by explaining information on relics and leading conversations with visitors through questions. I will propose an exhibition commentary as a way of communication, focusing on the exhibits of the Seoul Museum of History To present a desirable exhibition commentary method, I have studied the methods of history education as a new way of exhibition explanation, paying attention to the fact that many exhibition commentaries are centered on one-sided knowledge transfer. I analyzed the artifacts by applying pluralism, critical perspectives, and human rights that are being studied in history education, and proposed an explanation from the perspective of history education for reunification in the exhibition hall of Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea in Zone 4. Through the historical education approach in the exhibition explanation, new possibilities have been identified in communicating with audience.
