Nowadays, in present-day society, international exchange is animatedly being progressed owing to globalization and advance of information and communications technology. Furthermore, the number of foreign students is increasing since the policy of attracting foreign students is enforced by many of universities and the government. Thus, it is considered that more detailed and much closer researches are needed about foreign students. All the sociological understanding about human beings must be started with understanding everyday life drawn by systematic and objective studies about the most commonsensical meaning and behavior of daily life. Even though some people live in small and limited regions, their own lives are meaningful and valuable. Daily lives of foreign students who adjusted to new culture and society different from their familiar ones are even more meaningful. Hence, one purpose of this study is to report patterns of everyday life activities and traits of spatial patterns through analyzing daily lives for Chinese students studying at Kongju National University in Gongju-si, Korea. The other purpose is to consider which constraint factors occurred in terms of spatial transfer. The survey was carried out targeting 116 Chinese students studying at Kongju National University in Gongju-si, Korea. The patterns of everyday life activities and spatial traits were examined by four different types categorized by their general characteristics. The weekday-dormitory type had simple and limitative patterns relatively. The weekday-non-dormitory type showed complicated and various patterns when it comes to patterns of everyday life activities and spatial traits. The weekend-dormitory type had far more monotonous and limitative patterns than the weekday-dormitory type. The weekend-non-dormitory type was hardly different from the weekday-non-dormitory type but it showed some different patterns related to their part time jobs. Through this research, foreign students’ activities in particular time and space has been analyzed. As a result of it, it is possible to understand their characteristics. However, it would be limit of this research that irregularity of the samples and it could have been more detailed research if contrasts between foreign students and native students had been progressed.
