도시재생을 위한 근대건축물의 공간적 재생 특성에 관한 연구
본 연구는 근대건축물의 보존 및 재활용의 의미를 되새기고 도시맥락으로 근대건축물의 가치와 도시의 정체성을 찾기 위한 연구이다. 급격한 도시의 물리적 성장으로 인한, 도심 확장, 무분별한 신도시 재개발로 인한 구 도심 쇠퇴, 산업화로 인한 환경문제 등, 여러 가지 이유로 사회 문제로 나타났다. 이러한 문제로 인해 도시는 정체성을 찾고 새로운 도시이미지를 만들기 위해 새로운 개발정책을 시도하고 있다. 도시재생은 국가적으로 각 도시의 정체성을 찾을 뿐 아니라 관광사업을 통해 해외 관광객증가는 물론이고, 도시의 실직적인 경제적 이익도 창출하게 된다. 하지만 이러한 도시재생은 지속적인 재생을 고려하지 않고 일정한 지역의 단기적인 문제만 해결하려는 모습을 보여준다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 도시의 근대건축유산을 재활용하여 도심의 중요한 자산으로써 그 가치를 인식하고 도시의 새로운 생명력을 주기 위한 방법을 다양한 측면에서 바라볼 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 급속한 도시 성장인해 무분별한 도시개발을 막고 도시의 정체성을 잃고 쇠퇴된 지역을 위한 도시재생의 전략으로써 근대건축물을 활용을 통해 도시이미지의 정체성 확립과 지역 활성화에 기여하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도시재생의 방법으로써 근대건축물 활용을 통한 도시재생에 대하여 고찰 하였다. 이를 통해 사회적 측면에서 재생의 유형과 공간적 재생 특성을 도출하였다. 또한 이러한 도찰의 결과를 바탕으로 국내외 사례조사를 통해 근대건축물 활용은 도시의 정체성과, 문화적, 경제적 활성화 측면으로 중요한 요소로 파악 되었다. 첫째. 근대 건축물은 역사·사회·문화 가치를 가지고 있다. 도시의 사회·문화적 관계를 만들고 반영하며 장소로써 도시의 활력을 빠르게 성장 시킨다. 또한 지역주민과 자발적 참여는 자연스럽게 과거와 현재를 이어주는 역할을 할 것이다. 둘째. 합리적인 환경 개선뿐만 아니라 지역의 역사·문화적, 사회·경제적 특성과 주민 복지적 측면에서 합리적으로 지원할 수 있는 정책이 필요하다. 셋째. 지역주민과 관광객들에게 여러 가지의 문화적 체험을 가능케 할 뿐만 아니라 역사적 장소, 시간의 흔적을 부각시킴으로써 지역 고유자산으로서의 지역 정체성을 효과적으로 보존할 수 있다. 이처럼 본 연구는 근대건축물 재활용을 통해서 도시 정체성을 기반으로 지속가능한 도시재생에 도움이 되고자 한다. This research was conducted to remind the meaning of conservation of modern construction and recycle, and to find identity of city and value of modern construction in the meaning of city. With rapid physical growth of city, widen metropolitan area, uncontrolled reconstruction of new metropolitan area, many social issues, such as decline of existing metropolitan area, environmental issues due to industrialization had arisen. Due to these issues, city is trying new development policy in order to find identity and reconstruct new image of city. Regeneration of city not only finds identity of each city nationally, but also expected to lead to increase inflow of foreign travellers due to travelling industry and actual economical profit is expected to follow. However, this regeneration of city does not consider sustainable regenerations and only focus on curing short term problems limited to certain area. For solution, it needs to be viewed from multiple perspective for a method to give new vital to city and recognize the value as valuable asset of city by recycling modern construction heritage. This research had its purpose on contributing local vitalizations and finding identity of city image by using modern construction as strategy of regeneration of city for area that lost identity of city and stopping uncontrolled metropolitan area development due to rapid development of metropolitan area and s Accordingly, this research studies regeneration of city by using modern construction as a method of regeneration of city. As a result, space regeneration characteristics and types of regeneration was studied. Also, based on this study and case study of national and international, use of modern construction was identified as important factor in perspective of identity of city, cultural, economical revitalization. First, modern construction has historical, social, cultural vale. It creates social, cultural relationship and reflects it and grow vitalizations of city rapidly. Also, voluntary contribution of local will act as mediator that connects past and present smoothly. Second, Policy that could support not only improve reasonable environment, but also support area's historical, cultural, social, economical characteristics in perspective of welfare of locals is necessary. Third, Effective conservation of local identity as local's unique asset may be possible by highlighting historical place and trace of time as well as enabling locals and travellers to experience multiple cultural experience. This research aims to contribute to sustainable regeneration of city that has base on city identity by using modern construction recycling.
