대학생의 시간관리와 생활만족도와의 관계 : 한국방송통신대학교 재학생을 중심으로

본 연구는 대학생의 시간관리행동의 실태를 알아보고 이들의 시간관리에 영향을 미치는 중요변수를 밝히며 시간관리와 생활만족도와의 상관관계를 규명해 함으로써 대학생의 시간관리능력을 키우고 이들의 생활만족도를 높일 수 있는 방법을 고안하는데 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 시간관리와 생활만족도, 인구학적 변수 및기타 생활을 측정하는 47문항으로 구성된 질문지를 사용하여 서울시내에 거주하는 방송통신대학교 재학생 438명에게 설문조사하였다. 조사된 자료는 연구목적에따라 t-test와 일원분산분석(One-way ANOVA), Duncan의 다중분류분석, 피어슨의 상관관계분석(Pearson's Correlation)을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 방송통신대학생의 시간관리 수준은 보통수준으로 나타났는데, 시간관리하위영역 중 목표세우기를 가장 잘하고 수행을 가장 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 방송대학생의 시간관리에 영향을 미치는 인구사회학적 변수는 종교, 월평균 개인소득, 월평균 가계소득이고 성별, 연령, 결혼형태, 직업유형은 시간관리에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 시간관리 교육경험과 시간관리 독서경험은 시간관리에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 시간관리는 생활만족도를 구성하는 모든 하위영역 및 생활만족도 전체와약한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 앞으로는 지식사회의 급격한 발전과 다양한 역할 증가로 많은 사람들이 직업과 가정생활 또는 학업생활을 가치 있게 보내기 위해 시간관리의 기술을 필요로할 것이다. 특히 다양한 역할을 수행하는 성인으로서 방송대학생들이 성공적인학업생활을 하기 위해서는 시간관리가 중요하다. 시간관리 교육이나 독서 경험이있는 경우 시간관리를 잘 수행하는 것으로 나타난 본 연구결과로 미루어 볼 때시간관리에 대한 교육을 활성화해야 할 것이다. 이상의 결론 및 본 연구의 제한점에 근거하여 후속연구와 시간관리교육 및 교재ㆍ프로그램개발을 위한 몇 가지 제언을 하였다. In these days the importance of time management is emphasized due to the rise of the value of time resources. Especially the time management skills are more needed for students at Korea National Open University(KNOU) who have many roles. On this research I investigate the actual conditions of their behavior for time management and then verified the important variables which affect it. The purpose of this research is offering the source material devising the ways which develop the capacity of students's time management and improve their life satisfaction. To achieve the purpose, 438 Korea National Open University students in Seoul were questioned through the questionnaire composed of 47 questions, which measure time management, life satisfaction, the socio-economic variables of subjects etc. Data was analysed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test and Person's correlation. All the analyses were done by SPSS PC+ Program 11.5 version. The results are as follows : 1. KNOU students' level of time management is 3.19 from 1 to 5 range scale Students were good at setting up goals(3.38) but poor at implementing plans(3.15). 2. The variables affecting time management of KNOU students are individual income, family income, the learning experiences in time management and reading time management related books. Gender, age, marriage and occupation, however, didn't affect the time management of students. 3. The relationships between time management and life satisfaction had a little positive strong relation. In these society many KNOU students are suffering from time lacks for their balance among their occupational, family and study life. The educational programs to improve their quality of life are needed. Some proposals for the future researches and developing educational textbooks and program for time management were given.
