토끼 출혈증(Rabbit haemorrhagic disense; RHD)은 1984년 중국에서 최초로 발생이 보고된 이후 한국을 포함하여 전세계적으로 발생하고 있는 토끼의 급성 열성 전염병으로서 주로 기관지의 출혈과 울혈, 폐출혈, 간조직의 심한괴사, 신장과 비장 및 심근의 변성괴사, 각 실질 장기의 파종성 혈관내 응고증 등의 소견을 특징으로 양토산업에 심각한 경제적인 피해를 끼치고 있다. 이 질병은 정확한 원인 바이러스의 분류와 발병기전이 밝혀져 있지 않아 여러가지 질병명으로 불리우고 있으며, 또한 질병의 전단은 바이러스의 항원이나 항체의 검출에 의존하고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 요즘 활발하게 이용되고 있는 분자 병리학적 기법중의 하나인 in situ hybridization(ISH)기법을 이용하여 1987년부터 1993년 사이에 본 실험실로 병성감정 의뢰되어 RHD로 진단되었던 파라핀 포매조직을 재료로 각종 조직내 바이러스 유전자 분포를 조사하고, RHD를 분자 생물학적으로 정확히 진단 할 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 하였다. 본 실험에 사용한 probe는 RHD 바이러스의 single strand RNA중에서 specificity가 높은 sequence에 상보적인 oligonucleotide probe틀 합성하여 biotin으로 표지하여 준비하였고, ISH의 전과정은 Microprobe^TM capillary action system을 이용하였다. RHD에 감염된 토끼의 각종 장기를 대상으로 ISH를 실시한 결과, 병리조직학적으로 특징적인 병변인 관찰된 간과 폐 뿐 만아니라 기관, 기관지, 신장, 심근, 소장, 부신 소뇌 등의 장기에서도 RHD바이러스의 분포를 의미하는 적색의 양성반응을 관찰할 수 있었다. Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease(RHD) have characterized by heamorrhage of trachea tract and necrosis lesion of liver, kidney, spleen, heart, lung etc. Persistently infected rabbit appear to be efficient transmitters and shed large amounts of RHD virus. Histological finding have been screened for RHD infection. However these examinations have disadvantages that are not RHD virus research. Therefore, to establish advanced rapid and specific detection examination for RHD in our work, We have used the new technique, in situ hybridization(ISH) that have been developed by the molecularbiologics. Oligonucleotide probe which was made by RHD strain labelled with non-radioactive biotin (biotinylated oligonucleotide probe) to detect RHD vrus genome in the formalin-fixed parraffin-embedded tissue sections. All procedure of ISH to diagnose was taked within 1-2 hours in Microprobe^TM capillary action system. The biotin-labelled probe was demonstrated after hybridizatin under standard conditions by the application of streptoavidin and biotinylated alkaline phosphatase. Alkaline phosphatase was visualized using a Fast Red TR/ Naphthol phosphatate and the sections were counterstained with hematoxylin. The procedure described preserved morpological detail yet is compatible hybridization conditions and reveals the disposition of RHD genome during gene expression. We have obtained the result of positive reactions in trachea, lung, liver, kidney, heart, small intestine and adrenal gland etc. In situ hybridization is a powerful technique for the detection and localization of specific nucleic acid sequences within tissues and cells. Recently, it has potential application to both research and diagnostic studies.

Poly(dimethyl siloxane)膜에 의한 三成分 알코올 水溶液의 透過蒸發

Poly(dimethyl siloxane)막을 이용하여 45℃에서 에탄올/이소프로판올/물의 삼성분 혼합물에 대한 투과증발실험을 행하고, 에탄올과 이소프로판올의 존재가 상호의 투과특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 에탄올과 이소프로판올은 각각 상호의 투과속도를 감소시키는 경향을 나타내었으며, 이소프로판올이 에탄올의 투과에 미치는 영향보다는 에탄올이 이소프로판올이 투과에 미치는 영향이 더 현저하였다. 투과속도의 감소는 고분자막에 대한 에탄올이나 이소프로판올의 가소화 영향보다는 투과물 사이의 상호작용이 더 크기 때문으로 생각되었다. 삼성분 혼합물에서 투과물 사이의 강한 상호작용은 에탄올과 이소프로판올의 투과에 대한 추진력을 감소시키는 결과를 나타내었다. Pervaporation experiments of ternary ethanol/isopropanol/water mixtures were performed using poly(dimethyl siloxane)(PDMS) membrane at 45℃ and the mutual effects of ethanol and isopropanol on the permeation characteristics were studied. Compared to the case of the binary aqueous ethanol or isopropanol solutions, the existence of ethanol or isopropanol in the ternary mixtures resulted in the depression of each other's permeation rate. The depression effect of ethanol on the isopropanol permeation was more considerable than the depression effect of isopropanol on the ethanol permeation. These decreases in the permeation rate were thought to be due to the larger interactions between permeants than the plasticizing effects of ethanol or isopropanol on the polymer membrane. The strong interactions between permeants reduced the driving forces for both ethanol and isopropanol permeation in the ternary mixtures.

노인 복지를 위한 교회의 역할 연구

우리나라의 65세 이상 노령인구비율은 평균수명 연장 및 출산율 감소로 2005년 현재 9.1%에서 2018년 14.3%로 고령사회에 진입하게 되고 2026년에는 20.8%로 본격적인 초(超)고령사회에 도달할 것으로 전망되어 기타 선진국에 비해 훨씬 빠른 속도로 고령사회로 진입될 예정이다. 그러므로 장차 도래할 고령사회에 대비하여 국가가 정책적으로 이미 오래 전부터 노인인구의 증가에 따른 문제의 해결을 위해서 노력은 하고 있으나 다양한 요구와 다양한 노인문제 해결에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 국가정책의 한계에 대한 보완을 위하여 민간의 역할이 필요하며 특히 교회의 역할이 중요하므로 교회의 보다 적극적인 노인복지 참여가 요청되고 있다. 사실 교회와 사회복지는 기독교역사적으로 볼 때 상당히 밀접한 관계가 있다. 특히 노인복지와 관련해서는 노인을 존경의 대상으로 기록한 성경말씀(신명기 32장 7절, 잠언 16장 31절)에 근거하여 교회가 노인복지를 해야 하는 당위성을 찾을 수 있고, 또한 현재 교회의 출석교인을 보면 전체 교인 중 65세 이상의 노인들이 차지하는 비율은 결코 적지 않다. 따라서 현 시점은 앞으로 급격하게 증대될 노인복지수요에 대비하여 교회가 노인복지사업을 새로운 방향에서 설계하고 추진해야 할 것이다. 그동안 노인복지를 실시하고 있는 교회에서도 그 교회에 출석하는 노인들을 대상으로 복지 프로그램을 진행하여 왔고, 그 프로그램의 대부분이 신앙교육에 중점을 두고 있기 때문에 지역사회 노인들을 배려한 프로그램은 찾아보기 어려웠다. 지역사회노인들의 욕구나 지역내 문제에 대한 보다 더 정확한 파악이 이루어져 교회에 출석하지 않는 노인들의 참여율을 높일 수 있는 열린 프로그램의 개발이 이루어져야한다. 그러므로 이를 위하여 교회가 노인복지사업을 구체화하고 조직적이고 체계적으로 운영해야 할 때이다. 따라서 교회는 노인복지사업을 위해 전담기구를 설치하고, 전문적인 프로그램을 진행할 수 있도록 예산책정은 물론 그에 대한 지속적인 지원이 가능하도록 노력해야 할 것이다. 이로써 고령사회에서 노인이 풍요롭고 여유로운 여생을 보낼 수 있도록 교회는 지역사회의 중심적인 역할을 감당해야 할 것이다. In Korea, due to extension of average life span and decrease of birth rate, the percentage of elderly population rate over 65 years old is forecasted to go up from 9.1% in 2005 to 14.3% in 2018 and Korea will start the aging society era and by the year of 2026 it will enter the super aging society with 20.8% of the elderly population rate, which is far more rapid than other highly developed countries. So to cope with the coming aging society, the country has already started to try to solve this problem caused by the increase of old age population, but there's a limit in solving all the demands and various old age problems. Therefore, to complement the limits of national policies, the roles of non-government organization are necessarily required and in particular, the roles of the churches are so important that a positive participation of church is being called for now. As a matter of fact, taking the history of christianity into consideration, social welfare has had much to do with church. Particularly when it comes to the senior citizens welfare, based on the verses of the Holy Bible (Deuteronomy 32: 7, Proverbs 16: 31), the reason why the church should participate in the old age welfare is only too explicit, and at the same time, the percentage of over 65-year old people attending churches are clearly not that small, compared with the attending congregation members. Therefore, at present, the church should design and propel the senior citizens welfare business from a new direction in preparationfor the rapid increase of demand for the senior citizens welfare to come. Up to now, even the churches operating senior citizens welfare programs, the welfare program took place only for the attending elderlies and most of them were concentrated on training faith. And thus the programs that really took the local community elderlies in consideration were hard to find. The precise understanding of demands and problems of local community elderlies should be made and the development of open programs to increase the attendance of the elderlies who are not attending church should take place. On that account, it is time church concretized the old age welfare business and operated it systematically and methodically. Accordingly, now the church should install exclusive organization devoted to senior citizens welfare business. Besides, it try not only to allocate a fixed budget, but it also continuously support so as to advance specialized programs. Hereby, church should take the role of leading the local community in providing the elderlies to spend the rest of their lives leisurely and in spiritual richness.
